Wow 😯! I’ve always wondered about those! They are always in my gardens. Usually nestled on the leaves 🍃 of the grapevines, figs or peaches. Like a little drop of gold.

They are omnivores, plenty of videos showing them eating pieces of fruits and berries, sometimes breadcrumbs from humans.

Meep-Meep.... One thing the long tail is a fulcrum for balance and to steer the bird. Yes a coyote is faster in a straight dash , but this little bird can turn in a split fraction of a second. When my parents use to live in Guadelope county, we had this bird come visit the swim pool like clock work. The swimming pool was. water hole and offered a safe spot for the bird to catch some water.

Ppl in the plural it’s pronounced mantis not mantises. Like more than one deer is still pronounced deer not deers. Has the English language gone nuts like the rest of society or are ppl just stupid? Learn to pronounce words properly no wonder other countries laugh at us.
