    Hi Pietro you are very good player for sure! And thanks for sharing your improvisations records! But honestly this kind of lessons are no helping the people nothing! This is because you dont show your fingers playing and you dont provide any tablature of your solos! Just some generic indications in the descriptions! I think your video are more to show your good skill! I can hear your video as an music album! Ok! Nice! But this is not a good way to learn! Sorry for this comment! Best regards

    • @Pietrosguitarphilosophy
      @Pietrosguitarphilosophy 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Andres, thank you for your comment and your suggestions. I am sorry that you get this feeling from these interactive backing tracks. But of course my intention is not to show my skills! So I hope I can clarify a little bit the meaning of my method: 1. Pietro's guitar philosophy is not made of single lessons but it's an entire course, made step by step. To make it a useful tool for you it would be really important to find the right point for your own level and work also on exercises, scales, improvisation on simple harmonic progressions... and then on songs with more complex structures, like this one by Pat Metheny. You can find the COMPLETE COURSE on my PATREON PAGE linked in the description. Please check it out! You can also JOIN for a week free trial, to explore all of the contents. The whole table of contents is here: www.patreon.com/posts/master-index-75987285 As you can see, there almost 100 posts! 2. This particular BRIGHT SIZE LIFE recording in not intended as a lesson, and the goal is not for you to play the lines I play. Its goal is simply that of a PLAY ALONG. And the only difference compared to a normal classic play along is that you can practice both on SOLOING and on COMPING, which is a skill I think every guitar player should train on and improve. 3. As with any backing track, you are supposed to know very well the song you are playing on when you use it: theme, harmonic progression (possibly without reading them!), structure, rhythm. And, for improvisation, the harmonic analysis: what scales, or arpeggios to use. Do you perfectly know all of this about this tune? Then go ahead and have fun playing on it! If you don't, make sure you study these aspects on your own before attempting it. And if this is too difficult, make sure you play on previous and easier videos of my channel first: Autumn Leaves, Blue Bossa, Am blues, Em blues, Equinox, Sunny, So what, Tune up, Upi, Saga of Harrison crabfeathers... and many more on the Pietro's guitar philosophy PATREON PAGE. 4. You say you can't see my fingers: some of my interactive backing tracks are videos, like all of the ones I mentioned here above. And you can see my fingers there! You could stop the video, slow it down, transcribe some lines if you like! Some other, like this Bright size life one, are only audio, and they are dedicated to advanced level players. I agree with you I should do more in the VIDEO FORMAT, and will go back to create more of them as soon as possible. Best regards and thanks again!

      @@Pietrosguitarphilosophy Hi Pietros, maybe worth sharing that I have a different experience. I think it is great idea that you added a piece of solo to practice comping as well. I actually rarely find that in backing tracks and is of course an equal important skill to practice. I think it is one of the best practice video's actually. Although maybe not for everyone, which is totally ok. I can pick up the chords and voicings with my ear so I see no problem here. Thank you :)

    Hi pietro! Do you teach what you play and is it only a interactive playalong and we "steel" what we want? Thank you

    • @Pietrosguitarphilosophy
      @Pietrosguitarphilosophy ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Telmo, thanks for your good question! In the interactive backing tracks your main focus is to improvise the way you already know how to, paying close attention to the rhythm, the structure, and switching between soloing and comping. Also for the comping you have to use what you know: it could be just simple chords; or it could be with some inversions; or even with the walking bass, the way I do, if you already know something of that technique. And the rest... yes it's going to come little by little, either because you "steel" something, or just because if you keep doing it eventually you will learn it, like doing conversation when you study a foreign language. What I do teach is all the material that you can find in the other videos, the "practice" ones (orange thumbnails), which are interactive exercises, or the "study" ones (blue thumbnails), which contain some theory and new material. If you notice those lessons are numbered, and they are in a progressive order of difficulty. If you want to follow a complete workout using all of this material I suggest you to join my Patreon page (best on the intermediate 10$ level): patreon.com/Pietrosguitarphilosophy There is a week free trial, if you want to take a look. Thanks again for your curiosity and for playing with me!! Write me if you have more questions!
