You’re right. The entire site is designed to accommodate any flooding from the river. All living accommodation is on the first floor and above. It’s an ingenious design by the architect plus it means you can live right on the river which is really rare!
Compared to that amazing kitchen living space the rest of the house looks a bit dated. No doubt new owners would update the rest of the house but I don't think it would take much work really. A nice place to live, depending on the price I'd give this a solid 6/10.
Informative tour, good to learn about local provisions like nearest town and eduction. I think the place would benefit from the expansions suggested in the clip; at the moment it is a little on the small side (some of the bedroom look very small) and the wood throughout is a little too much. Location looks amazing however and this property with a bit of extension work would be a marvellous place to live. 5/10 in it's current state without knowing the GP.
Nice enough, somewhat small thought but still a nice place to live. GP is £1.75M which probably comes with the uniqueness of the design and surrounding natural beauty. However the house design should have had three instead of four bedrooms to make them more spacious. 6/10 - unique but small and maybe a bit too pricey.
