Can you hear the speaker pretty good? I wear a full face helmet and ride a straight piped Sportster..or would you rather have helmet speakers?
"True duals" exhaust setup
HMMM...That's a great questions. So I have stock exhausts and I can hear the speaker clearly. When I get to about 60mph (w/o a windshield) then it starts to get distorted because of the wind (inaudible at 80mph). With a windshield, it starts to get distorted around 70mph (inaudible around 90mph). Id imagine, since you have a straight piped Sportster, it will be clear up until maybe 50mph or less because the exhaust is going to overpower the noise of the speaker. At that point, i would much rather listen to the music through my Cardo headset so its a lot clearer. Otherwise you'd have to keep the RPM's low so as not to drown out the sound of the speaker. I hope that answers your question.
@@ShiftNSmiles hey thanks for getting back with me I think I'll just go with the cardo I was looking into that then I seen you video and had to ask
@dalton1068 no problem man! Thanks for asking. I can give you more information on the comm system I have? It's the Cardo Packtalk Edge
The sculpture is called geese in flight on the enchanted highway
Even without any context I am 100% on board!
@Gringa_L made a new friend on my cross country trip. He just came up to me and we chatted for about 20 minutes. Pretty lighthearted and easy going. I'm glad you're on board!
@@ShiftNSmiles That is so lovely! Sometimes road trips feel elevated from daily life - a little magical. 😃
love the editing
@@tinsy1773 thank you 🙏! It took some time to get it how I wanted so I appreciate you
I have been looking at this bike. I’m a Yamaha fan boy. I currently have a 23 Tenere 700. My unexpected change in how I want to ride has me looking at sport touring bikes. Nice video
Yamaha's are great bikes from what I'm told and with the little experience I have riding them. What do you mainly use your T7 for? What kind of Slort Touring model are you looking to get?
Another duck ornament???.
@@Mike-q1z9w hell yeah brother
Hey man. You’re supposed to change modes while on the fly. I’m looking at this for my next bike. Yamaha outdid themselves with it. All this and 10-15k less than a Harley.
I hope you get the bike and it's what you envision it to be!
@@ShiftNSmiles just depends if the dealer can make it happen with as much as I owe on the trade bikes.
@@turtle19dad what bike are you planning on trading in?

Sorry to hear that

The hypermile 🫡 It’s mega dorky, but F9 has a video on how to make it last when you’re barely gonna make it

Bout to pick up my ‘24 on Monday. Can’t wait
@high_commando hell yeah man! I appreciate you sharing the good news! I hope it's everything you been dreaming of
@@ShiftNSmiles 100% bro ride safe my man
I bought one. Pros: It has plenty of power, the suspension does well off-road, and it handles the twistie well. CONS: There is no electric windshield, backlit controls, or alarm. It only lowers the rear wheel in adaptive mode, and the jiffy stand is a joke. If you're not careful, it will only deploy halfway. The handguards are also a joke; they pop off the grips a little too easily. It's definitely a BA bike and is easy to ride. The cons were not a deal breaker, but I also had another HD for a trade-in.
@mrloftybreez1503 I appreciate the feedback man. I'm to hear that about the bike. I hope it was still enjoyable, nonetheless. Did you do anything to take care of the handguards and grips to make it more comfortable?
Ashamed it's gone for 25! I've got a 23 Stryker red Bobber ABS!
@@hiltonlouque1504 did they put the bike on the chopping block?? No '25 model?
The Tracer 9 is not an adventure bike! Do not ride it off-road unless it's a smooth dirt road and I mean a smooth dirt Road! And even having said that unless you have proper tires don't go over 20/30 miles an hour on set dirt road. One only has to look at the location of the exhaust under the bike and also the ground clearance in Fork travel to tell this is not an adventure bike. I would add a correction and disclaimer in this video.
Cruise control works in 4th gear and higher
@@MrWolf2212 I was told that after riding the bike🤣🤣 wish I would have known it sooner but it is what it is😆
It's definitely a street bike only.
Trains will do it too 😂
That's cool that trains do that too. Very hard to come close enough to a train to do that. I hope to one day!
What you do is wet a towel and form it in a U-shape and freeze it. I’ve been doing this since the late 80s. You’re welcome. 🫡
@acewilly9991 ill give that a try! I have a trip coming up very soon so it's worth a try
the wet shirt was a good idea. The ice im not so sure
It surely takes up a lot of space. I can stuff my tent, two mattresses, a sleeping mat and a tarp in a dry bag smaller than that.
@fuglbird it does take up space but the Toucan is pretty comfy. But only fits me, not another person...lol🤣
Not a ptwin. Crossplane 4 :)
Nice paint job, but not suitable on a adventure bike, and it's not a real CVO without an upgrade to the motor. I have a 2022 Pan Am Special, it probably doesn't need more power, but they could have fitted a high flow air cleaner and a sports muffler, because this improves responsiveness significantly and power a small amount.
If you had to customize the bike with a paint job what color would you make it? I feel you on the high flow air cleaner and sport muffler. That would have been a very nice touch! 👍
Really considering the Pan America. Might have to give up the Road glide. lol
@@MadMexism ooooo, that's a big change! What's making you consider the switch??
@@ShiftNSmiles try something different. These bikes can be on or off road. The glide is strictly pavement. Let’s see what happens. lol
@@MadMexism you've got a point! You can either cruise on the pavement or tear up the great outdoors! It's nice having both options! The Pan Am was tons of fun and enjoyable
😂😂😂😂😂
I have the 23 Mt-10, Leo Vince 3/4 exhaust and tune. Absolutely love it coming from the 2020 MT -09. Cruise control only 4th gear and above. Still have lift control on 1, the most least restrictive and power mode A. She’s a beast. And the white light, yes when to shift but I changed mine to 7000 rpm.
@johnhernandez6434 hell yeah man! I'm glad you enjoy it! I tried figuring out what that white light meant so thanks for clarifying it for me
This bike sucks on the freeway without fork fairings. Nobody can say otherwise.
@@etishbite456 what's the problem with it?
@ShiftNSmiles i have a 2021 scout bobber 60 and on the freeway, this bike gets twitchy so much wind problems. After making custom fork fairings and a larger wind screen it's become more enjoyable.
@@etishbite456 damn man...I'm sorry to hear it doesn't feel as stable. But im happy to hear you found a way to hopefully fix that! 😊
@ShiftNSmiles I'm sensitive with bikes. I know a guy with a 2023 bagger harley and once he hits 100 mph his bike gets squirlly. Fork fairings are soo good. I'll send you a video. It looks nice actually. You can feel the wind diverting
@@etishbite456 damn...I didn't know about that! I appreciate your help! Send it over when you get a chance
Id be splittin it up 🔥
Stay vigilant if and when you do man! Sadly, like I’m sure you know, not everyone sees us😔
Bro you should probably clean your bike because their is ghost on it
If you like that, try a pre-euro5 MT10. It is an animal by comparison to the current generation. WAY more wheelies, WAY more pull, WAY WAY more sound bone stock. I've owned both. The current gen is "nice". The previous was "WOW".
Where can one get there hands on a "pre-euro5 MT10"??
@@ShiftNSmiles I believe all MT10s of 2021 model year and prior. Pretty sure 2022 was the year Euro 5 hit them. I owned a 2018 and a 2022. I expected a similar experience when I bought my '22 and was pretty disappointed.
@@leanit5756What do you own now ??
@@MrWolf2212 My street bike is a bass boat blue '23 XSR900.
@@leanit5756 you don't miss the power coming from MT 10??
I’m thinking I’m gonna trade my 2022 Pan Am Special tomorrow for this Ride
Woah! Good Luck! I hope they give you a lot for your trade. That CVO Pan Am was tons of fun
I just traded my 2023 for one its well worth it.
Did you look at any specs before this review? An R7 has 74hp and this has 160hp.
Honestly no 😔 The intention of this was to go into it completely not knowing anything for the sake of raw emotions and perspective. But, knowing the power difference ahead of time definitely could have helps. I reference the different engines sizes between the two in the video though😊
S1000 when?
That is a cool bike
Straight up sounds like a sewing machine
I can definitely hear that!
stock pipes on every bike sound like sewing machines
I love the paint on the cvo definitely stands out.
The color definitely caught my attention! Didn't think I'd enjoy the color scheme that much...
Good music!

Yep. Great music!
