The Childhood of the Báb
The Báb, even in His earliest moments, was a child unlike any other. On the first day of the Islamic year, October 20th, 1819, a child was born in the city of Shíráz, in south-western Iran, that would come to change the world. In the upper chamber of His uncle’s house, He was brought into the world-His birth foretold by the vast expanse of time, by centuries that had long waited for such a soul. He was named Alí-Muhammad, after the Prophet Muhammad and His Successor, 'Alí. In this very house, the woman who would one day become His wife, Khadijah, was destined to be born as well.
His family was distinguished, their lineage tracing back to the martyr Husayn, and ultimately to the Prophet Muhammad Himself. His father, Muhammad-Ridá, though a cloth-seller by trade, came from a noble family, and His mother, Fátimih, carried a grace and dignity befitting their heritage. The family's respect in the region was renowned-not for their wealth, but for their integrity, their purity of heart, and their steadfast devotion to the highest ideals of truth and righteousness. The people of the region loved and revered them.
From the very start of His life, it was apparent that the Báb was not like other children. His mother often spoke of how He remained serene and unruffled, an angelic calmness surrounding Him even as an infant. There was no crying, no signs of displeasure. He did not demand the usual attention of a child; rather, His presence seemed to transcend earthly concerns. His mother, at times, would be overwhelmed with anxiety, unsure whether to be concerned by His unusual tranquility. But the Báb, even in those first years, was deeply connected to the Divine, and He exhibited a quiet certainty of His own purpose, a wisdom beyond His tender years.
As a small child, the Báb's behavior captivated all who encountered Him. Friends, strangers-everyone was struck by His extraordinary presence. Even at a mere few years of age, He would raise His hands to the heavens, reciting prayers that seemed far too mature for someone so young. In the stillness of the night, He would rise from His slumber to pray, His voice trembling with the devotion and sorrow of someone much older. There was a profound sense of otherworldliness about Him, as though His spirit was ever-attuned to the celestial realms. His moods would fluctuate between joy and sorrow, sometimes overwhelmed with rapture, at other times seeming lost in deep reflection.

Wow I am blown away by your comprehensive, inclusive, sensitive, visually exquisite, artistic presentation of this vitally important topic. Once all fear is removed about dying then we can focus on living up to our potential to be as pure and noble beings as we can possibly be. I saw Renee's full video many years ago and it galvanised my soul to be true to my true self and to die to that insistant self that leads us astray. Thank you so much Helen for your beautiful comment, and you are so right about Reinee. I wish I could do a video version of some of the chapters of her book. Her book is so powerful - I highly recommend it. The Baha’i Faith and the NDE reinforce and confirm each other in so many ways. I could literally do six or seven more videos like this one without exhausting the subject. I’m of the opinion that the NDE can enhance our appreciation of the Baha’i Faith. For those who have experienced an NDE, the Baha’i Faith confirms everything in the core NDE described by Dr. Raymond Moody in his first book. Moreover, both have the same transformational effect - which was the primary point of this video - along with their description of what Abdu’l Baha called the spiritual realm, “the garden of reunion.” Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful an insightful comment.

The Mausoleum of Saladin holds the resting place and grave of the medieval Muslim Ayyubid Sultan Saladin. It is adjacent to the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria.[1] It was built in 1196, three years after the death of Saladin.[2] In addition to the tomb, the tomb complex included Madrassah al-Aziziah, of which little remains, except a few columns and an internal arch adjacent to the renovated tomb.[3] The mausoleum presently houses two sarcophagi: one made of wood, said to contain Saladin's remains, and one made of marble, was built in homage to Saladin in late nineteenth century by Ottoman Sultan Abdulhamid II and was later restored by German emperor Wilhelm II.[4][5] from Wikipedia

BAB and BAHA-ULLAH should not have been cruelly persecuted. Their message /faith was not cruel at all. They were asking people to do good things--- not evil things.

Thank you, the message is a call to unity with an empahsis on justice, love, and the unfettered search after truth.

BAHA-ISM faith seems to be all- inclusive. Bab and BAHA-ULLAH should not have been persecuted by PERSIAN /IRANIAN society.
