Abstract Floral Bookmark Tutorial / Step by step tutorial
Hola guys! Nice to have you back! I'm managing a second video this month so, I must be on a roll haha. Anyway, I thought to teach you how to do a simple yet very cute bookmark. As a reader myself I love having a nice little bookmark, and once I find the one it gets used in EVERY SINGLE BOOK.
It's a mega simple tutorial, so if you are a beginner, then this is perfect for you. Learn how to do simple gradients in watercolour, how to get a little bit loose and most importantly - have fun!

These hares are screaming for a story to go with them! Absolutely stunning and so original!
Great ideas! You have inspired me to try these ideas.
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create all those wonderful and stunning textures. I’m so impressed by your creativity and I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too.
Fantastic piece; I love the use of gold leaf. 😊
LOVE THIS!!! ❤️
People ask me all the time, " oh wow that's a beautiful painting, how long did you go to school for art"? When I tell them that I never went to school for art, that I was just a bad teenager getting grounded to my little 6 by 8 room for weeks even months at a time. All I wanted to do was draw or paint and listen to music 🎵🎶. People can't believe it but it is the truth, not saying that you don't have to go to school to learn about art but I just developed my skills over many hours and failed attempts to draw something and get mad and crumble it up and throw it at the door to my room. So when my grandma comes in she would step on all my mistakes. I wish I could have had the opportunity to go to a art school and learn but I'm sure my art wouldn't have my flare to it. An it doesn't matter what I do it just always has this way about it that you just know that I did that one.
I love your use of layering- paint, texture & drawing, & great narration of your process as well, very easy to follow. I’ve got some scraps of different size mesh etc I’ve been hanging onto to incorporate in some paintings… thanks for the inspiration to actually get around to using it 😊
Thank you, I love it!
In first technique which paper are you using?
I love using watercolor + bubbles! It’s something I have tried out and shared on my channel. ❤️🎨🫧
Lindos demais!!!
Maravilhoso!!! Seu trabalho é sensacional❤
Rubbish!! this is not folkart, very childlike in my opinion.
Great ideas! Thanks for posting. New sub!🎉😊
I love this! ❤️
This is amazing!❤
Lovely! ❤
Nice video. Thank you for sharing. Two questions: What brand of markers are you using? And which white gel pen is this? Thank you.
I love this!
wonderful techniques! well explained. beautifully filmed. thank you! :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I can't wait to try it!
Fabulous.
Re the bubble wrap background-this is when I ❤️ cauliflower, or blooms. So lovely!
I have those Kuretake paints. They’re fabulous. Check out their pastel color collection as well! TYSM for this video ❤🎉
Thank you......gotta try these!!
These are really awesome, can’t wait to watch more of your videos.
Really neat techniques.
Great idea yes it looks theraputic will be trying this and love your texture ideas as i love textures, i made a book mark the other day in watercolour n once it dried i used matt mod podge to finish it off if that helps may be better than laminating ,seems good
I think of all your paintings this is in y top 3. I love the way you paint rabbits. And the color and detail here is amazing.
Girl you have a very interesting style! I love all of them! Thanks for sharing 🥰 I am looking forward to trying them out and watching some more of you!!!
❤❤❤❤
Amazing as always! I don’t think I’ve ever seen you use masking fluid before, except for these last 2 shorts. I’m interested to see more of this painting.
I do use masking fluid quite often! Most of my big paintings have masking fluid used, i love it haha! 😂 thank you ☺️
I really love your work. I just wish that I could draw as well as you do and you are so intuitive in your mark making 🌸
Just keep going! I do plan my drawing and what i’ll do, it doesn’t always flow as easily and i have been painting for years! 🙈
That was a great video. I love texture and you are so artistic in the way you apply it. Thanks very much 🌸
Thank you for your kind words!
So gud!!!!!!!!!! ( •̀ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧
That was impressive to watch! I love the bold blue outline for contrast. Gorgeous!
Oh thank you! ☺️
I love your style. Its good to see you back!
Thank you! 🙈
Awesome 😃
Thank you for all tips😊 Can you please tell me what is the brand of the paper you used?
Thank you! These little paintings are done on a very simple winsor & newton paper 🥰
LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️

My favorite bookmark is one I made as well. I love the loose style of yours. I may give it a go.
I have a few that i made and you get attached to them don’t you? 😂
You are definitely better than you thought you were - these ate so full of character! Pun?😁
Oh thank you! It wasn’t a bad first attempt at quirky character creation, turned out better than i thought haha
I'm going to search for the alcohol in my country. Love the effect! Thank you for your video😊.
I reckon craft shops should sell. Where are you from?
@@OneToothMoose I'm from rhe Netherlands.
That is gorgeous!!!
Thank you!
Where is your accent from? Nice video! I especially like the tape, when there are no lined edges. Thank you.
I’m from Lithuania. And thank you, yes tape is one of my favourites along with bubble wrap!
Great video. Exactly what tape do you use to make your borders. I can’t find a tape that doesn’t pull off the surface of the paper.
I just use cheap masking tape. If it gets too stuck try using a hair drier to loosen up the glue and it should peel off with ease!
Thank you! @@OneToothMoose
