For our only catch of the day was this maintenance train due to the ties being swapped out for new ones. We were fortunate enough to see this train roll by as there was nothing else on the line for presumably until night-time

This was our Second catch of the day. After seeing Amtrak 71 pass Tremont Rd we drove down here to hopefully catch a caltrain. After going to dorris we ate in klamath falls and then went to the station. While we got there. The train we'd seen in dorris was getting a crew change. How much do one of these cost
Depends on the condition. For a bad-medium condition bell like mine its around 150-250$ For a good condition one of these bells you usually will be paying 300-450$ for this specific model of bell. There are types of bells from different brands you can buy for way cheaper

To be more specific, the wch mechanical bells were not directly replaced to gs type 3s. One of the mechanical bell was almost dead and got replaced to a wch electronic bell which was only up for a short time. Then eventually, the wch electronic bell and the wch mechanical bell were both replaced to the current bells
