But is it their place to pick who and when? To me, Kindred comes across as kind of sadistic or, at least, apathetic. Lamb at one point says: “Embrace life”, but those that do and don’t want to let go get rewarded with a painful death at the hands of Wolf.

@edmarcamy also i don't think they are the one picking who and when. They are just there when your life is about to end and they offer you your final choice

While true maokai is more trees over humans. He's a spirit, yorick is a human. They shouldn't be best buds, but they definitely should have a voice line where they share their goals of destroying anything that has connection to the ruination.

Considering this was made before ruined king (the league voice lines) I think Maokai just hate humans in general.
