Hiking The Overland Track
มุมมอง 1.8Kปีที่แล้ว
In May 2023, a group of 4 headed over to Tasmania to hike the famous Overland Track. The weather conditions were a bit rough to start with with high wind, rain and snow but we settled into better weather as the days went on. The track is really well maintained and the newer "huts" are spectacular.

We had originally planned a 2-night hike but just did 1 night due to a severe thunderstorm. We hike up to Carey's Peak and check out Selby Alley hut on the way back down. Videoing the end was cut short due to the heavy rain ...

The Green Gully Track is a challenging 65Km walk located in the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. You stay in rustic huts each night as you make your way along the track. Thanks to NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service for the experience and for some of the information that was referenced in the narration of this video. Love it. You’ve got me inspired to try
Can you use drones there?
Great video! Some beautiful shots in there. Very peaceful vibe and love the simplicity of the edit.
nicely done, really enjoyed this. Glad I stumbled on to it. I spend a few weeks each year up that way, great sport. Good luck with your channel, subbed ✌🏻
Thanks mate. Appreciate it !
Nice to hear the birds
What a fantastic place to visit
What a beautiful and serene solo adventure my friend! Great film 👏
Great video!
This looks like an amazing place to escape to.
Nothing like drones flying about you when your out for peace and quiet.
Looks amazing
great video, where exactly did you parked and started?
This is so stunning ! You think it could be in New Zealand but no , it is part of Wollemi NP in NSW Australia !
Nice bike
Beautifully filmed... so emotive, some scenery just made me cry... I'm hoping to get over that emotion before I go May '24. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing your amazing adventure...
Very nice hike and thank you for sharing your experience!
Very cool - footage of areas seldom seen in other Overland videos - like walking on the plateau at the 22:00 mark. Loved the music choice too.
Nice video 😮😅😊😊😊😊
Beautiful. I hadn't heard of this place before but now it is on my list!
Simply beautiful. Fantastic trail and a great outdoor experience. Gorgeous upload!
You've just inspired me to head back to Barrington 😀 I love it up there and I miss it. I'm thinking a winter trip will be fun! Rumour has it you saw Josh on the trails this morning??? Enjoy the hike 👍
Hahaha word travels fast. Was awesome bumping into Josh. Going to be a vid coming from todays hike. 👍🏾 I always love being up at Barrington - such a stunning place.
@@aft3rmath04 nice, I’ll keep an eye out for it. I had a guy come up to me in front of Josh on our last trip that had seen my videos. It’s a pretty nice feeling. I think Josh was excited to tell me about his stardom 😂
@@advanturest haha nice one. I hope his new tent went well - look forward to seeing it in a future vid😃
@@aft3rmath04 he sent me a pic and said it was a winner. Looked good. I can’t wait to see it myself.
Cracking video ! Would have been good to see and hear the sights and sounds of the thunderstorm ⛈️
I should have recorded the sounds of the thunder but was busy changing my shorts in the tent when there was a lightning strike very close by 😆
Another great adventure, lovely edit. Thanks for taking us along.
Really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Trevor, I am glad you enjoyed it !
PS. are you any relation to the Youdales that managed the land?
@@aft3rmath04 yes, Alan was my grandfather.
@@trevoryoudale3107 Wonderful! It was such an honour to be able to travel through and enjoy the land. Thank you 🙏🏾
@@aft3rmath04 it's a very special place. Cheers.
Very familiar. I went off to a different 'crater' - might have even been the same day. I posted my video of this location a little while back and the crater was deep in water. Fantastic location!
It certainly is. Thanks for watching Alex.
Beautiful video of your adventure! Incredibly beautiful scenery and views out there. Looking forward to your next one ;) Happy trails, Mario
