Transitioning to "practice" from "attempts" to continuous PFs. Crashes here & there but no major damage.

Not that good but I still count them as continuous PFs. The crash at the end didn't cause any damage.

Practiced PF's (what else?). Beginning to tighten up the singles, tried a double here and there when feasible.
Xk k110 crash (broken tail boom)

Luck finally ran out. The boom was weak from previous crashes anyway, patched with Gorilla glue. I think I did a double before the crash.

Practiced single cycle PF's. Minor gear issues as always.
Eachine E160 my first (somewhat) continuous piroflips

It's all over the place but for me it's a major milestone. The throttle hold at the end did save the heli from damage. My next flight wasn't so lucky but that's another story.

    ahh good to know they are changable from e150 to e180, what are they like 700mah on E180 vs 500mah on E150? what about other way around? too much weight or won't fit?

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its the same mah rating on E180 as E150. Other way around doesn't work because E180 battery is too big for E150 compartment.

      At first I thought I dumb thumbed it (which statistically is the most probable cause of all my crashes :-)), but reviewing the video I heard a distinctive pop just before the second half of the flip. And sure enough, that screw that came off a couple of crashes ago and didn't have CA applied got pulled off. Until my cyclic management gets way better, I will apply CA (or loctite when I get some) to links and screws when reassembling.

    Hi there. Thanks for sharing. I would appreciate to do such figures with my V977 but as soon as I push the pitch to the max, my heli spins on itself. I think it might be a gear problem but im not sure. Any clues ? Thanks a lot. Great skills by the way

      Maybe this info might help you to better understand my issue. As soon as my device is upside down, it seems like its pretty hard to not loose altitude. I know my heli is a little bit damaged but going ok anyways. Do you think I might use the high rates to fix this ?

    Hello! I have a little question. Do you know why all my motors spin in the same direction? I have clockwise and counterclockwise motors, but I tried to make the v212 from scratch.I know it shouldn't be hard, but I do not know how to connect the motors to fly normally. I mean it is not normal.The same thing happens with a v949 motherboard.What am I doing wrong Please help me.

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheCraziestVampire To switch direction of motor spin, you need to switch polarity of the power, if they are all spinning the same direction now, then pick any two diagonal from each other and switch polarity by splicing the wires. I think that should do the trick. Of course you need the right type of props on each motor as well.

    Nice flying! I just picked one of these up... maiden was a little hairy with the stock radio. The second time up I lost my prop (due to the o-ring snapping). The 3rd time up I lost the prop again (o-ring). I now have a FlySky FSi6 transmitter and receiver, a 3-axis gyro on the rudder, aileron, and elevator, and a normal prop-collet with an 8x4 prop. Hopefully it'll make for some better flying, especially since I can dial in expo better than the stock xmtr. Great job!

    I own V977 too. Actually nanotech batteries are better. They give more headspeed and last a bit longer. Some maneuvers demand speed and heavier copter holds speed better.

    Are you flying with the Hisky X-6S Transmitter ? Did it come already programmed for the HCP100S ? And programmed for other Hisky models ? Was the programming suitable for smooth flight ? Some owners describe difficult programming for smooth flight especially collective. Does yours tilt dangerously at lift-off ? It does look a bit squirrely, especially compared to the HCP80.

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Andrzei Czajkowski I'm flying with the H-6, I think I put in some expo at mid-stick because I like it more responsive there. Otherwise I think the default model was ok. The altitude is a little difficult to maintain perfectly, but smooth flight is definitely possible, with some practice. I don't have the tilt at start up.

    Hi, I just got my hisky HCP80 V2 and i have not available to fly yet due to the servos lag, how can i fix this issue?. Also, I noticed in your video that the model you in put in your transmitter was not the HCP80 V2, any reason for this?. And sorry for a final question, how can i switch between 3 Axis 6 Axis fly mode?. By the way, i have the same transmitter. Many thanks and regards, lrrivero19

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Luis Rivero Sorry for the really late reply, I haven't found a fix for the lag, Banggood sent me a later version rx board and it did seem to work better. But my bird had other issues and I just don't fly this anymore. I forgot how to switch between 3 and 6 axis mode, but I recall it was not complicated, try to track down a manual, or read the RC Groups thread on this heli.

    It sounds like your main gear didn't mesh properly. Right before you hit the ground you can hear the gear give and start stripping.

  • @TheFarazz
    @TheFarazz 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    does it gives more punch to the power and the flight timing?

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      sheikh s No, actually with the heavier battery, flight is less lively. Flight time is about the same as with stock battery.

    Sorry to bother you again, but if you had to choose 1, would you get the 80 v1, or the 100? Also does the H-6 Tx have a backlight?

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I can only have one, I'd get the 80 v1. As far as I know, the H-6 doesn't have a back light.

  • @bizzy511
    @bizzy511 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's good to know. Thank you

  • @bizzy511
    @bizzy511 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Cool man, thanks for the info. Is it safe to assume that if I order from BG, it will be the new H6?

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is advertised as being able to control the HCP100S, HiSky's newest heli, then yes; otherwise I'd confirm with seller (BG or elsewhere) before ordering. Note that the HCP80 v1 does not need the new H-6, so a RTF v1 may not come with the new version.

  • @bizzy511
    @bizzy511 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you know if the v1 has these problems? Also, how do you like the H6 transmitter? Will it allow you to program expo? Thank you

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The v1 HCP80 doesn't have any known servo lag problems. The H-6 (new version) is a nice tx, I like it, it is programmable and allows expo.

  • @bizzy511
    @bizzy511 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is this still a problem? I was thinkin about picking up the hcp80 with the H6 Tx.

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know they haven't come out with a fix yet, so I don't recommend the v2.

  • @bizzy511
    @bizzy511 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the vid. Is this the same size as the mcpx or larger/smaller? Also how is the TX that it comes with?

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't own a mcpx so I can't confirm first hand, but I believe they are about the same size. The tx that I'm using is the H-6, which I like; it is light and compact, and provides good control.

    • @bizzy511
      @bizzy511 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      stonecutter00 thanks for the reply. have you owned any other 6ch helicopters in the past? what is your overall opinion of the 100s? Is the Tx programmable?

    • @stonecutter00
      @stonecutter00 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      bizzy511 I had owned the HCP100 (v922), HCP80, Blue Fly HP100BL, v977, mini cp, super cp, and maybe others I'd forgotten. My overall impression of the HCP100S is very positive, powerful and durable at the same time, with the noted exception of the main gear.
