    Your playing is beautiful and you feel great... Please, I would like to ask you a question.. I want to buy CLP-745. Do you recommend it to me or do you have comments on it or does it have some problems and defects? Your opinion is very important to me... Thank you very much

    Spectacular! Thank you so much for sharing your talent wherever TH-cam can be reached. Could I ask you to consider recording the Rachmaninov Prelude in B minor op32 no10? It is such a magnificent piece and it would be a superb example of how your instrument can recreate a concert grand in a great hall. I’m working my butt off trying to play it on an old spinet with keys that stick while waiting for a CLP 785 to arrive. I sure hope it comes soon. Thanks again!

    I really enjoyed this video, you are clearly a very competant player. Considering the 745 myself and to see it played at this level has convinced me it's far more of an instrument than I will ever be a musician.

    Hey John! Good job! May I know how you converted the MIDI file to an audio one? I also have a CLP745, recorded my playing via the Yamaha app but dunno how to convert the file afterwards. Thanks!

    • @johnhwen1
      @johnhwen1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Clement, thank you! To convert from MIDI to audio, you just do it on the piano directly. Click the Function button, then in the Song menu scroll down and choose the File option, then scroll down and click MIDI to Audio. The song that’s currently selected will be converted to audio.

    Hi. I discovered this video while researching Clavinovas. Your performance is awesome! Your sensitive, expressive playing convince me to order a CLP 745 for my brother, who plays everyday. We just lost one of our brothers to a sudden heart attack, and I believe that my other brother will really appreciate having a fine instrument to help him work through his grief. I hope that you will continue to play and bring inspiration to others as you have to me. The best of luck to you.

      Hi, thank you for your beautiful comment. I’m so sorry to hear one of your brothers passed away. I hope both you and your other brother can enjoy the CLP745 together. If he ever records anything on it, please let me know. I’d love to have a listen sometime. Best wishes to you and your brother.

      Thanks! This was the Yamaha CLP535. If I remember correctly, I used the Bosendorfer voice and increased the brightness by +1. The action on that piano is quite heavy, though. Middle C is around 87g downweight! I highly recommend the CLP745 (:

    Really beautiful. You are an inspiration. You chose the CLP-745. Do you have any thoughts on that compared to the CLP-775? How does the key action compare to acoustic Steinway M?

    • @johnhwen1
      @johnhwen1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! So I actually did try the CLP-775 as well. My main takeaways were that the 775 had better speakers but the action was way heavier compared to the 745. The actions of the 745 and Steinway M feel fairly comparable. I still prefer the Steinway of course, but I've been very happy with the 745!

    Copied+pasted from the No Entrance Wikipedia page: No Entrance received a largely positive critical reception. In his 1977 review, Roger Ebert called the play "an out-of-body experience", compared its special effects to those of 2001: A Space Odyssey, and opined that the true strength of the play was its "pure narrative". Vincent Canby called the play "the play that's going to entertain a lot of contemporary folk who have a soft spot for the ritualized manners of existentialist adventures."
