@kristibrooks967 at the time I was not sure what it was, I thought it was a lynx. Later on was told it was a bobcat. It was chasing a squirrel but when it saw me walking, it started to walk away.

McAllen to mission is 5 minutes drive. Walking is about 1 and half hours.

It’s not pronounced koo-mi. The mi is correct. But the k sound is wrong. The real way to say it is closer to a g sound but not quite even a g. I lived in Gumi over 35 years ago, and still think about that place and the people there everyday. Hmmm.
