I also related to Astarion a lot, (i have not being assaulted per say), but he kinda showed me that people can be asexual, I didn't know that existed before that... I've always thought there's something wrong with me to not want to have sex with people or have the drive... And when I met my last partner I told him - "I see that you are starting to like me, but know that I don't want to have sex with you or anyone... I am ace" and weeks later when we decided we are gonna try a relationship he said - "I thought a lot if you are worth not having sex my whole life and I am fine with it, we can not have sex at all" and this floored me... i didn't expect anyone to say this to me and let alone a male... so ye... I understand you! Now we have a wonderful relationship, not based on sex. We are exploring a bit but only when I want to try and I am leading everything, which is very validating and I feel respected and seen! Kudos to you and your partner as well! Hugs! Lo

I feel like there are so many variations and ways to get secret dialog options, that I am not sure at all what to advise. Not really sure how to help at this point. If anyone knows for sure, please contribute...

Talk to all the prisoners-that will open up dialogue options to persuade him. Alternatively, you can metagame by ungrouping your party and sending each member except for Astarion up the stairs. Then, switch to Astarion, click on the coffin, and he will stab Cazador.

@@resonatinglo I think that this moment is a clear indicator that Karlach is not as cool and fearless as she always tries to seem to others, and yet her fear of death is quite strong, since in a rather stressful situation she was ready to take an extremely dubious action just to survive and in some sense betraying her ideals. I bet that at that moment she did not even think about the consequences for herself in this choice. This is a very interesting detail
