How?🤔
Someone out there is not surprised that you’re in possession of such instrument. Wonder who…
Beautiful
Wow!! That is so awesome! I don't even understand how it' possible for the sound to be so good, considering it's an antler...
@@Sageoftheforest7 🙏🙏🙏
Blessings
Just beautiful. Thank you yellow hummingbird
How do you hollow out an antler and all of it's curves??
Time, doctor freeman? Is it really that time again.
Beautiful playing Willow. I love your content! Peace be with you.
That’s cool asf
Beautiful! Is this one for sale?
Woahhh
wow that one has a very sweet singing voice, brilliant
beautifully done sir Freeman
Thank you my friend 😊
My daughter was playing with an antler and I looked up a flute from a deer antler!! This was perfect to show her!!!
Ive made a fare few antler flutes Joshua. Right up to large Red deer antlers. 😊
@ that’s really neat!!!
Another wickedly wonderful instrument.. 💚 Did you use a band saw to split it, please, dear Willow.. I really want to get started on mine :D
Yes Lennie all my deer antler flutes are cut on the bandsaw 😊
@@Willfreewill Thank you so much. Now i need some bandsaw lessons from 'he with the big shed up the hill'. 🙏
That's very cool.. and shepherd's really do use it? They well could, i imagine.. :)
They have used it in the past yes.
@@Willfreewill That's delightful! I wonder if that can translate to bored macadamia nut shells calling the wallabies... likely not, but i love the ideas of the shepherds, thank you dear Willow 💚
oh, this is cheeky of me, but while you are about, I did buy myself a couple of deer antlers but realised there was no way I could hand carve them with my aging hands. Have you ever used dremel or equivalent rotary tool bits with any success? My preferred way is like my vey few NAF style flutes, hand gouged etc, but the antlers are proving ungougable and i really want to play one, given my relationship with Deer. Thank you, anyway..
@@linnie-ei2gl Yes you could use a dremmel on them. It is still very hard work and takes a long time though.
@@Willfreewill oh, thank you, dear Willow. I'm very grateful for your reply.. I can be very patient as long as I know that eventually I might help that beautiful Deer flute sing.. I still hold a vivid memory of your larger antler flute, and i know you're not crafting them on request anymore, and i understand why, but I am vey determined to play one so i must craft it myself.. which will be an act of devotion, so that's good 🙏Many blessings to you.
This is amazing! Why is this only now coming to my attention?! TH-cam, step up your damn game! This is far better than anything else I’ve seen today.
Great sound. I am sure our ancestors played these sounds. It is the reason I have spent so many years mastering tenor recorder. Other variations to this sound would be singing a drone note while playing or singing the note, a harmony of it, or an octave of it. Tongue trills are also possible as well as singing through it without the mouth piece though it may not be possible with the configuration. Here is my invented musical instrument of the Bass Bugle playing Boogie Woogie bugle boy from company B on recorder for the first time in history. th-cam.com/video/3NDws2ATZnY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aO3bG0SuraSxJ4gT
So beautiful.. Thank you .. & the Water gently in the background, & the Trees 😍🌳💚💙💦🎵🙏💖✨🤗
Blessings rightbackatya 🙏😊
Amazing, like honey to the ears of a weary traveller. All blisters heal, all thirst is quenched. Peaceful. Warm greetings from the Netherlands🇳🇱.
really reminds me of the sound of a loon late at night some notes, without a doubt the sound of nature.
Let me take a second to thank the algorithm. 😌🙏
For the algorithm
I really hope that this goes viral! I was just eating dinner and saw that cool flute (usually I don't have much to do with that stuff) now 45 min later and a lot of your videos I have to heat up my food again. I was so captured by the sound and craftman's ship! beautifulull work!
Awww nice message thank you. I hope you got your dinner inside you 😊
That’s beautiful
This healed me and also your cable knit sweater is nice, I hope you still have it
Awww my sweater was beautiful. I loved it but alas it fell apart 😔
how can you carve this non straight antler out???

Beautiful in every way and sound
Thank you 😊
now i want one just like it
this is so beautiful
Thank you 😊
A blessing has fallen upon the to have this video be brought in the algorithm from 10 years ago. Thank you.
This is beautiful.
Thank you kindly 🙂
But...how did he bore that curvy thing? Antlers are not hollow.
WHAT THE WHY HAVE I NEVER SEEN THIS UNTIL NOW THAT IS BADASS
Fascinating big brother! Thank you for your music.
bro very very nice flute sesh ! shared to my friends!
Thank you kindly my friend 🙂
It's thought the flute was the first instrument ever used by humans. Seeing that you can make it out of anything makes me understand why.
The oldest instrument ever found was a flute made from the wing bone of a Crane bird. Which is beautiful, but I would think the first instruments would have been the voice, and percussion. Knocking sticks against rocks and such, but the early bone flutes are a fastinating thought.
@Willfreewill I mean an actual crafted instrument. You can, of course, use your voice like an instrument. Most musical theorists do not categorize the voice as an instrument because, it is natural and not constructed. And percussion, at least the definition, points more towards what is being struck and not the sticks doing the striking. I do think clapping, sticks, and rock slapping/banging came first. There's a musical "singing" rock in India you can check out.
I generally can't stand the sound of a recorder after being forced to play them in 5th grade ages ago, but man, I like this.😂👍
Just commenting for the algorithm to promote that after 10 years
The land and water animal speaking through a human to all of the biosphere.
TH-cam is evil for recommending this to me years after the video is made
This flute Belongs to a fantasy world. Very beautiful sound
This is badass. If i may ask what is your ancestry?
Im a bit of a mix. My Fathers Family were travelling musicions from France, and Spanish Romanies on my Mothers side.
@@Willfreewill thats awesome. I'm native Siberian/Russian "American."
@@SURPRISEBUTTSECKS666 Also verry cool 🙂
