That speed loader is actually quite good as it will allow you to shot twice and reload in the same turn. I usually use Skeeter upgrade for a scoped Hunting Rifle for Vic, but you already have better gun for him. Other upgrades Skeeter can do is extended magazine for Desert Eagle and Assault Riffle and night vision scope for FN FAL Skeeter is not only one who can do those upgrades. Valerie in Vault City and especially Algernon in New Reno Arms basement have better prices.

If you sneak into New Reno Arms underground - stairs are in the top right room (where dogs are) behind shelf - there's a guy named Algernon. He can do all weapon upgrades for free. Just don't play on shooting with him as he takes it too literally. In top left corner (view is blocked by wall) is a refrigerator with an Electronic Lockpick - one you need to get into Toxic Caves bunker. Plus somewhere near right down corner is a box with Easter Egg - a literal easter egg. It has no use in the game, it's just an easter egg.

Looking for a Wrench? - one can be get from Curtis' quest (boy who looking for Nixon toy) - one is in locked room in level 2 of Vault 8 - one is in Morningstar Mining headquarters in Redding - one in in Railroad station in New Reno

Actually there are two wrenches in Vault City. One can be get from Curtis' quest. Second is in upper rightmost room of level 2 of vault. The thing that you don't see footlocker through wall and boxes does not mean there's none. In each of those room is one or two footlockers. Otherwise look in Morningstar headquarters in Redding or train station in New Reno. Brain in north part under unfinished block. Ladder is in building north from Skeeter's with door on north side. Those +2 to IN, PE and CH was end of Mentats drawback.

You probably remember a meeting under the unfinished reactor in north part of Gecko. Despite you don't remember where is a ladder leading there. Despite what in Vault City says, the only irradiated place in Gecko in inside the reactor core. 3-step plasma transformer is for a Skeeter (a guy who promised you Full Cell Controler). He can make free weapon upgrade for it. Ghouls in power plant goes hostile only if you fail stealing attempt or broke the reactor. Door to that blue card you might find much later - literary at the opposite edge of map.

Vault central computer and library computer are the only ones in Vault City (and also north part of map) which do something if you use Science on them.

Brass Knuckles use Unarmed skill when coutning hit chance. If you have lower ST that weapon require it doesn't mean you can't use it. It just mean you will get -10% penalty for each point of ST you lack. So even with this penalty that Assault Riffle is much better than 10 mm Pistol. In clasical Fallout you never loose karma for looting items (with exception of those coins in Modok's well), because items have no owned by statistic. However some containers are set to private, so NPC firsly warn then attack you if it see you to loot it. Actually all you need to be able pick third companion is to increase your CH temporarily - eg, by Mentats. Actually cap for learning from books is 91. But most 'book skills' depend on IN. So if you temporarily decrease it (eg. by using Psycho) you can technically go a bit over.

Most karma in Den is for killing Metzger and freeing slaves. And...was it you who forgot to burry Anna's bones? No, dynamite is for the outhouse. Get into a barn and kill Rose's ...ehm...chicken, is considered as bad thing.

Actually your fighting inability is party your fault. At this stage you should have Small Guns about 100, wear Leather Armor (it can be bought in Klamath and if you hunt down geckos in south area price should not be problem) and wield either Desrt Eagle or Shotgun (you should have enough from loot after Lara's x Tyler's gangs shotout). Plus Vic should have Hunting Riffle to lower his miss rate.

I enjoy playing these types of games to pass the time. Watching you make questionable fruit placement choices had me talking back to my phone screen.😅.

You forget to collect and bury Anna's bones. To find out why Becky's whisky is cheaper you have to wait till guard goes to check roulette and sneak into that backroom. That's all from Karl till you solve Ghost Farm quest. Also you can get some good weapons from Flick if you kill him. Btw: Vic need to be equipped with long range weapon (like Hunting or Assault Rifle) as his penalty for longer than optimal range is really terrible.

There's a bit exploit in Den. Most of traders have their trading inventory in lockers outside of reachable area of map. That means if you kill them, they have nothing to loot. But Flick is an exception. Killing him is quite lucrative. And he counts as bad person due to his stealing kids business. In some versions his death also stop kids from stealing.

This is not seeing through wall. If enemy have yellow outline, you have no direct eye contact, but you know about him. E.g. you hear him. Those door in rat cave in Klamath are the hardest door in north part of map. They have difficulty 60. It means that before % roll, 60 points are subtracted from your Lockpick skill. So if you have less then 60%, you have no chance to pick them. Therefore is a dynamite in the shelf just beside a door. But no worry, only lootable thing behind those door is Fuel Cell Regulator, which is useless till you get Fuel Cell Controler from Gecko.

That yellow card from vertibird crash really have no use in the game. Rumor is developers was planning that it can unlock vertibird in Navaro to fly to Oil Rig. But I've never found a proof. But if you played Fallout New Vegas that she-pilot from Enclave Remnants talked about her only crash landing near Klamath.

If you use piece of meat on that dog you will got spare key to trapper town and he will become temporary companion till you leave Klamath. Yes. Cap for learning from books is 91%. To your information, Fallout 1 was designed as solo = without companions. They was added about a month before release. That gave no time to develop them proper AI. Therefore they got AI of NPC who follows you out of combat, and did not see you or each other during combat. In Fallout 1&2 no item is set as owned. Therefore is no penalty for stealing unless they catch you during process. You can sell an item to NPC you stole it from with no problem. There are two quest where you need Cats Paws. 'Typhon's Treasure' in Broken Hills require one, and 'Get Cats Paws for Miss Kitty' in New Reno require ten.

Yeh. Village shaman can heal you anytime for free. You can even run from fight with flowers, made him heal you and then continue fight. Increasing First Aid this early in not efficient as it lowers you gain from books. Using First Aid can be save-scumm fox maximum effect despite low is skill value.

This is pretty good character. Only few changes left to perfection: As you obviously aim for range fighter, EN could be lover. 4 or even 3. Odd CH is a waste as there are Shades and operation which both do increase by 1. And you can take up 2 Mentats each increasing CH by 1 (and companion limit is CH/2 rounded down). AG should definitely be 8 to give you 9AP. I seems no much but it gives 3th attack with knife and bit later even with most of pistols (when you combine Fast Shot with Bonus Rate of Fire). LU either 6 (which is prerequisite for More Criticals and Better Criticals perks) or 4 (as it's possible increase by 2 in NCR). Instead of Bloody Mess which is purely cosmetic trait I recommend Small Frame which give so much needed +1 to AG. Fast Shot is not much popular, but very useful trait. It usefulness lowers during game progress. Luckily there is a Mutate! perk which you can use to change it into Gifted. Taking Gifted when you've already build most useful skill is excellent choice. Tags are perfect. These are the 3 you need to raise fastest. As addition both Lockpick and Speech allows you to avoid that tedious fistfight.
