Great video guys I’ll keep an eye out for this event superb my wife use to work for ICS who sponsored Andy Rouse back in the 90s I was lucky enough to meet his chief mechanic and get a car walk around his Toyota I still think these cars sound way better than the new ones 👍🏻🇬🇧

Nice to hear those noises again bring back many memories. Shame there aren't any Toyota / Andy Rouse cars taking part and would be good to see them tour or come up to Oulton Park, always got one of the best turnouts for Super Touring cars there. Last thing, make sure you keep that lens clean will help with the quality of the content.

Richards not a happy bunny at all after the crash. Possibly lost the Nissan as the A and B pillars are badly damaged, owner of the BMW isn't confident it can be repaired either. Both were ok thats the main thing though

Was out at Hawthorne, so just heard the crash on the radio. Good video of a bad smash, such a shame the race finished that way.

Savage. If you pause the first frame of the video, soaper already looks like his impacting the primera then just doesn’t stop. Brutal for the cheque books.

People do sometimes look down on the BTC spec racing, but the quality of drivers were top notched as you mentioned. It was never going to be Super Touring levels of drivers, but the idea of the new rules were to keep costs down. Also the cars such as the Astra Coupe, 307, Civic, Integra, Lexus. They looked amazing.

I remember Hines initially tested an Alfa Romeo for Gary Ayles' team at the end of the 2002 Season before he signed for Barwell. I also remember his start to the 2003 Season was very similar to Laurent Aiello's in 1999. Only scored 1 point thanks to pole in class in Race 1 which he DNF'd and DNS'd Race 2. Only outside the top 3 in class once thereafter.

Norman Simon raced in the 2002 Season. He was runner-up to James Kaye. Gavin Pyper graduated to the Touring Class in 2003 but pulled out mid-season.

I remember him as I supported him for years and yeah he was at Snetterton and I had the pleasure of meeting him there.

I remember seeing Phil Bennett, he got himself banned for one meeting due to racking up a few points on his licence in 2001 which gave Andy Priaulx his debut at the second oulton park meeting.

Really like the idea for the 'do you remember' series and wouls deffo like a daily series. 2001 was the first season I attended and remenber vividly always thought Phil was decent but not spectacular and there's been far worse...

Nice video mate. I go to Snetterton every year as my parents live in Wymondham and it tends to be bank holiday weekend. Went home a happy man as a Jake Hill fan👍

Restart Racing are in their first season and I am quite sure they are not Team HARD. They may improve as the season progresses.
