Wow, happy you survived lmao. Took my head for a spin when you talked about what happened. I think I remember you talking about your uncle telling you something about your bike that you hadn't fixed that thankfully did get fixed in time. Just another reminder to stay safe out there. I can't remember where I heard this from, in terms of purpose, because it does sound like you kinda know your purpose in life. But it was about looking at what you excel at/are passionate about - like "language/communication". And then what you think is society's current issue is, like "the youth has poor communication skills". And then bridging your passion with the problem - so for that guy it was: he wanted to help youth communicate better, as his job. I don't know if that helps, I personally haven't really reflected on it too much myself, just thought I'd pass it on. He also phrased it much better than me.

I agree with your buddy that retail isn't something one should be embarrased about. I'm in the same jiff and I know that I shouldn't be embarrased about my job either. We should be proud of being in movement. I know you adressed it as such too, it just reminds me: I think (know) we put too much emphasis, in our 20s, on career path and just "having our shit together", on getting that bag, on getting everything. While I, on paper, can accept that literally no person in their 20s has their life together, it's somehow hard to keep it that way in your brain. Still catch myself doing it. Seems like we look at all these other lives and think we'll be far behind, for the rest of time. Like we let our brains just auto-pilot and think "they got it together", without accounting for the millions of factors. Anyway just my lil rant.

Just going through your old videos, they keep me vaguely motivated and feel like real convos, like late night call-rants. Kinda jumpscared me that you said in the end you were not religious. Not in the condescending way, I'm not a believer nor a reddit atheist, I just thought you were religious because you talk a lot about God, scriptures and praying. So I'm guessing things changed along the way.

Dont be too concerned with putting up an image for other people. If you're sad, its probably because you're going through something, and its totally fine to express that in a healthy way. Not being as cheery as you were before is a healthy expression of sadness. The only thing is, you need to take steps to fix that, and the most important time to do it is when you most dont want to. Spend less time on your phone, get out of your room more, find an activity you enjoy to do outside of the house, eat well balanced meals, and get a sleep schedule and stick to it. These are all things that help boost your mood passively, and will help you get the boost you need to deal with the bigger things weighing you down. Make sure you have an idea of what you need to do, and make a resolution every day to something that will get you closer to completing whatever it is. You're young, and you have a very long road ahead of you. You basically have a clean slate to make your life whatever you want it to be. You can work to pursue any goal you put 100% effort into. Just take a moment to appreciate where you are, and how many opportunities you have before you if you so chose to pursue them. It will relax you when you realize this. You have plenty of time to find a girl who wants the same things in life as you, and you'll get to experience a life together with that person. You'll probably do it several times, and with each relationship you'll learn more about what even you want in life. Im sure you know this though. The time inbetween relationships can be hard, but again, be relaxed knowing that you have so much time and so many opportunities to choose from. Enjoy life while you have it. Things will come and go. People will come and go. Time will come and go. The only thing that is constant in your life, is living with yourself. So appreciate yourself, appreciate where you are, appreciate what you have, and you will appreciate life. And when you appreciate life, you have inner peace. A peace that cant be disturbed by other people or outside influences. It doesnt mean you cant feel sorry for your losses. It just means that you will be rock steady when the losses happen, whatever they may be.

If you dont have anything that you really want to do, or anything lined up that you would rather do, then the military is a good choice. Dont let people hold you back. If people aren't being good to you, then dont bend over backwards to be good to them. If these people aren't bringing in anything good to your life, and it feels like they suck out your soul. Then just stop interacting with them, or interact with them less. Not everything is going to be perfect or just right in your life. Relationships are meant to be something that improves your life by finding somebody to experience it with, and uplift eachother to grow. Not something that you get into only when life is perfectly peachy. And definitely dont go into relationships expecting it to last forever. Understand that things can happen, so you dont get lost if you do break up. Life is what you make of it, and nothing more. Money doesn't bring happiness, fulfillment does. Find something that makes you proud to be part of, or to work on.

I think one thing I have learned in my life a few times that I can share with you, is to never think of yourself as "I would never do that" because chances are, when put in a similar situation, you would. The better way to look at it is "what would it take for me to become that way" and then take steps to avoid it from there.
