Inspired by the 1979 film Zulu Dawn, Zululand portrays the opening stages of the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, specifically, the first invasion of the Zulu Kingdom.
The film focuses on the following course of events that led to the Battle of Isandlwana, 146 years ago today. It is one of the most important battles of the 19th century. Created entirely using Total War: Napoleon, a strategy game by The Creative Assembly.
After releasing Gordon of Khartoum, I realized how much I enjoyed creating these videos. Since November of 2024, I have been working on my dream project, Zululand, which, in my opinion, tells the greatest, most consequential story of the Victorian Era.
Released 22nd January 2025, the 146th Anniversary of the Battle of Isandlwana. Dedicated to the brave and honorable men on both sides who died in this fateful battle.
