@@lydiarose29 yes it’s a “Love Lies Bleeding” amaranth. Beautiful cut flowers and edible seeds. They like it from spring-fall here in socal. They actually grow a lot like sunflowers.. what part are you having a problem with? Getting the seeds to their first true leaves is the only tricky part if you ask me but I DO have solutions for that so let me know :)

Been seeing more writing like this, so I must ask… is it your own words, or altered by some sort of chatbot? @@criscross7362 I’m roasting the democrats here while giving no kudos to the republicans either. They both are terrible on these issues and have been for decades or longer.. The middle east, frankly, could use a little less foreign meddling if you ask me. But once you get your hand stuck in the cookie jar… The point here is: trump and the dems are awful. But MAYBE if it’s TRUMP being awful, the dems MIGHT actually rethink their strategy. Long shot. They’re both completely captured by corporate interests, where sales are their God so war is profitable and desired by investors.. It’s sick to me. Symbiosis is the goal always! I’ve only found 2 of these in my whole garden this year (birds take care of most of my caterpillars). If i find one on a young plant i usually “relocate” it to a more convenient spot for bird predation. I’ve only got one more small harvest off this tomatillo patch so i let this guy survive. I was in a forgiving mood i guess. But thanks for sharing your tips i hope it’s helpful to whoever sees! Luckily the birds here are savages 🦅 🐛

@@mikem363 oo some of my buddies grew some nice herbs in living soil indoor! It’s a task for sure.. i believe there is more of a sterility requirement as well as some indoor IPM in case anything pops up. The soil indoors brings a lot of potential for contamination, which is why I think a lot of people go soil-free indoor. Although I don’t feel the quality is ever the same without proper soil. I’d look for “biologically complete” compost in your area- some dirt nerds will be making it and confirming with microscopes that it has all the necessary components of soil biology. If you bring that in, hypothetically you will be inoculating your soil with the microorganisms necessary to make a mini soil food web indoors! Then hypothetically whatever nutrients will be bioavailable to your plants 🌱 I think my buddies would make living soil and then also ammend with organic liquid fertilizers- i don’t know their secret formula though..
