It is only 8 to 9 points gap at this stage of the season. There are still 26 more games to go. At this early juncture, it is arguably far too premature to determine that Liverpool would win the league this season. Liverpool has managed to scrape through majority of the 12 games played so far. It was pragmatically job done without aplomb. The early fixtures were somewhat favorable to them. Two draws against Chelsea and Arsenal and that was all registerd against top 6 opponents so far. They should have lost against Arsenal and it was an Arsenal team without Martin Odagaard. Judging from this alone indicated that Liverpool is inferior to the Arsenal. Their heavy reliance on a Mo Saleh who is at the twilight of his career does little impress. If he does not score, Liverpool struggles to win games. This meant that he has to put the ball in the back of the net. Otherwise, there is hardly anyone in the team capable of doing so on a consistent basis. Liverpool's scenario is totally different from the Manchester City side without Rodri or the Arsenal side without Odagaard. For Liverpool, Mo Saleh has to score whilst Rodri or Odagaard just require their presence in the team.
