I have friends who tell me quite a lot of what's happened in their circles or to people they know. Where I think this man went wrong is that he thought he would marry a young filipina and bring her back to the US\West. This hardly ever works out, no matter how nice the western guy is. From what I understand - especially from the unique viewpoint of divorce lawyers, whether in the US, Australia, or UK eg - is that most of those marriages tend to end the moment the Stay papers are finalized or approved; then suddenly they ask for a divorce or just leave the husband and seek a divorce from wherever she moved to, often there is another man in the picture. Many of these girls see these men coming from miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiles away; and the plan to scam a foreign guy in this manner has been drilled into the minds of many of them by their parents\guardians\family as they grew up. I personally know filipinas as friends who tell me these things, how her family has been advising her in this regard since she was growing up, that she needs to find a foreigner to marry and move to the US\west and after 2 years leave him, he's no longer useful. Forget about love, just leave him, all you need to do is use one of them to go live in the west. These guys are cold with that plan and many know exactly what they're doing from the start. Many foreigners are very well aware of such things, and many would not even marry these females, because they know the game, they know they often try to use them as a walking ATM to look after their family, and if they do marry many would not return to the US\west.

As a Filipino, Most of these passport bros who come here in their 40's and above can only bag Filipina women belonging to the lower income class. By and large have not finished higher education, work menial jobs, or unemployed. Their mixed children, obtain a privilege of getting a job in showbusiness due to their distinct physical appearance admired by the common masses. The notion of having a mixed breed child becomes a standard for them (the masses) and the cycle repeats itself.
