      I lost about a year of training to an unrelated back injury. It took me 5 years to PR by just 1 kilo, so I’ll celebrate every PR like it’s my last because I’m grateful for every time I get to move the needle. And yes my garage gym my rules 😂

    Congratulations, but only 4 kilos? I'm sure you can squat more than that.

    Excellent. I love how you pause and make sure the bar is stabilized in the snatch and jerk! Those are my goals!. Hope to see more!

      I have a bad habit of running out snatches and twisting when I try to catch the bounce. I’ve actually tried to work on standing up faster, but I catch so far down in my range of motion and have such weak hips I have to think really hard about how I stand up to not miss lifts

      Yes, I like to watch their stuff while I train. Lately not as much cause the bright light of the TV plus my phone for watching lifts and the hex lights gives me a headache, but that’s partially systemic stress from the end of the semester

      Thanks brother! Lots of life changes in the last few years. Life has been wonderful and God had blessed our new family abundantly. I’m off of all social media except TH-cam now as well and loving being on my phone less and only connecting with people in real life

    I hope there’s at least a few people that understand how impressive this is, along with that how impressive all the other trumpets doing it is too. 24 trumpets with enough of them having the endurance to play these lines for an entire show is madness. The intonation, projection, and just power behind it is crazy. BD’s trumpet section 100% makes them who they are.

    How many people marched trumpet for BD in 2017, and how many had lead parts? Just curious. By the way, you guys had an amazing show-I get goosebumps during the ballad every time, haha!

    • @ZeroEditsWeightlifitng
      @ZeroEditsWeightlifitng 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the opener and closer we had 9 leads, the ballad we had 13 leads I believe(I can't remember how many seconds were also playing lead in the ballad). 24 trumpets in the non trumpet feature parts of the show.

    Mr. Smith I'm confused? How many leads does BD have and what exactly constitutes an upper versus lower Lead? I had assumed it to be the pitch of note, but your explanation prior has me slightly confused.

    • @ParanoiaKeepsMeWake
      @ParanoiaKeepsMeWake 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and while im at It, the fact that you played this without the aid of a typical lead mouthpiece is very impressive.

    • @ZeroEditsWeightlifitng
      @ZeroEditsWeightlifitng 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Da'Joun Dotson lead is just another term for first part. Upper lead means when there is a divisi you play the upper split, lower means the lowers split of the divisi. So if the first trumpets have a high C and a high A the upper play the C and the lower play the A. Usually the parts are unison but when it's not the parts are broken up upper and lower for each of the trumpet parts. I played lower lead all of the show except the ballad where I played upper, which is why I'm playing between a high C and a Double G during the ballad hit.

    • @ZeroEditsWeightlifitng
      @ZeroEditsWeightlifitng 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Da'Joun Dotson also, I am playing on a lead mouthpiece. Mine is slightly shallower than a 3c but with a bigger throat
