Great video!
Fantastic video! I learned something from every one of the presenters.
Did you have to push your views on vaccines in the beginning?
Discussion topic of carob begins at 12:45.
where is your nursery located In oaxaca?
Oh, those three cute critters are going to consume a lot of fruit! Pesticides are my last resort. Coddling moths in apples were my limit. I decided growing apples to be the incubators for moths was not my thing. So I applied some pesticide on the blossoms. The alternative was that I was working to increase pest numbers. Gardening isn't Disneyland for whatever animal shows up. Gardening is an unnatural change to the environment so preventing unnatural feeding is a responsibility of the natural gardener. No offense to bird feeder people, but when bird feed goes to rodents, it creates a population explosion. I've seen it. OK, I lied about the no offense. When you mess with the natural world, you have responsibilities. Be offended and think it through.
Guru Greg
very informative i am going to use a few tips mentioned here on my avocados Thank you

How often does Joe need to water his pots if growing in pure sand. The only reason I use some peat is to help retain some of the moisture so I don't need to water everyday. Great stuff as always CRFG.
Hi. I water a little bit twice a week and a deeper watering on Sunday. I have found vermiculite can help hold moisture and won’t break down as opposed to peat.

I love these meetings, great stuff guys.
It's one thing to like chocolate but to culturally appropriate the Mayan/Aztec culture is NOT okay. All these settlers using our images to make money. SHAMEFUL & TYPICAL!!
Hello. Would Iike to start collecting and caring for Figs. I live in the tropics(summer/rainy). What can you recommend varieties that perform well in our area that are prolific and taste excellent. Thank you. Love From Philippines.
regular milk with a garden sprayer seems to work well for pm
Very useful presentation. It’s better to take care of oftentimes a significant investment in tools. Thanks to both of these Master Gardeners
Fantastic video - thanks! I might try girdling next spring 😊
How about zone 9a..riverside county
Do you know what avocado variety is this? It looks like Hass but bigger. Here is the picture i.ibb.co/d0zvS6b/unknown-avocado.png Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you

Awesome talk, thanks for sharing👍
Any recommendations on which rootstock would be ideal for a dwarf mango tree?
I have a Keitt seedling in Norcal and have been trying to figure out of a Keitt seedling can do well. Sure enough on the rootstock slide Keitt is recommended. I could do a Philippine mango seedling but I kind of want to live dangerously since Keitt is my favorite. If it doesn't fruit or fruit isn't good I can always graft Keitt. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this great information. This will make me more skillful.
I need to buy a glem avocado tree, where can I buy it ?
Good content
So glad I came across this. This is giving me the courage to be more aggressive in addressing the bad soil and bad root conditions of some avocados I recently bought at a nursery. The advice is usually not to disturb the roots at all when planting because they’re perceived as being fragile. But when you actually examine the results of these practices you see that that’s really short sighted and kind of wishful thinking. Thanks so much for sharing this great info.
Excellent seminar Eric! Thanks Orange County CRFG for the wonderful download.
thank you for all the info i have learned from you. how many trees do you have? what do you do with all the fruit? i just got three more trees at Clausen nursery that i am planting in my yard this week. that will make ten.
Now I know how to watch a video that is very long. I watch it for a while, than stop it with a click on the screen, do some house chore, like watering some house plants, click to watch some more while eating lunch, then watch the last few minutes. That took about three hours for a less than one and a half hour video.
Fantastic discussion. I am make a vertical hardware cloth cage around the aeration pipes and fasten them to the pallet on the bottom. This ensures that the air columns do not collapse.
Also diabetes is caused by too much fat (usually animal fat) and not too much sugar. Another interesting note is that type 2 diabetes has been shown time and time again to be fully reversible on a plant based diet.
Love carob! Drinking a delightful kava carob banana smoothie right now . Yum!
Looks so tasty. I roast my own chocolate occasionally via the methodology and cacao purchased at Chocolate Alchemy. Had to try Crio Bru! Just ordered a Deluxe sampler so we could try as many as we can.
can you show us how to prune a cherimoya
Question: in Texas, zone 8b/9a and we had a huge ice storm. Prior we get this "rust" that covers trees in this county. So, ice storm ( last one a hundred years ago) plus the rust may have taken my avocados out.. Any ideas? They were fruit bearing
@@heirloomn.heritage7004 both are about 6-7 feet. They fruited last year
Great lecture. Thank you for posting online :)
Wonderful presentation... I now have to revisit much of my garden and take corrective action...
This was a fantastic presentation. Girdling roots has become my hobby horse. Will be doing root washing for future planting, but you are soooo right, should be done by the growers. Thanks!
Did you get bitten? Might want to get that checked! 🤣 Typically, seeing springtails is a positive thing. Springtails are harmless to people; they do not bite or sting us, nor damage food products, clothes, or furniture. In fact, they are beneficial insects to have in agricultural soils or in one's garden soil. ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn74136.html
Springtail
are springtails supposed to be smaller? It is 10mm in length which is .about 0.4 inches so almost 1/2 inch long
