Hike Waterfall & Two Penny Bridge #FloridaScenicTrail
The Florida Trail is a hidden gem, especially the segment between Scott Road & Two Penny Bridge...And Today, we check it Out! Stretching through lush forests & sandy paths, this section of the trail offers a perfect mix of natural beauty & tranquility. For me, it wasn’t just the scenery that made the hike special-it was also sharing the adventure with our spirited Teacup Yorkie, Ollie.
We set out midmorning, the dew still clinging to the grass... Ollie trotted ahead, his tiny legs moving with surprising determination, his leash taut as he sniffed out every little scent. The trail began under a canopy of live oaks draped in Spanish moss. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled patterns on the path. Ollie stopped to inspect a patch of ferns, his curious nose leading the way.
Crossing a small wooden footbridge, we paused to take in the view of a slow-moving creek below. Ollie leaned over cautiously, his ears perked as he watched tiny fish darting through the water. Moments like this reminded me why I love hiking with him - & really make me appreciate the little details even more.
As the trail wound closer to Two Penny Bridge, the landscape shifted. The sandy path softened underfoot, and the air grew slightly cooler, tinged with the faint scent of the nearby Econfina creek. Ollie seemed to sense we were nearing our destination, his pace quickening as he led the way.
Finally, we arrived at Two Penny Bridge, its rustic charm a perfect endpoint for our hike. Ollie hopped onto the bridge, his tiny frame dwarfed by the wooden planks. We sat together for a while, soaking in the view of the water below. The river reflected the blue sky, broken only by the ripples of a turtle surfacing.
With Ollie by my side, the hike was a shared adventure, a bond strengthened by nature’s beauty.
We did manage to meander our way down the trail a little farther to a small, gorgeous waterfall. It was definitely a welcomed sight to see..and we were glad we had ventured further down the path.
As we made our way back to Scott Road, I couldn’t help but smile, grateful for the trail, the journey, and little Ollie, who always makes these journeys unforgettable.

Chipley, Florida was founded in 1882 & was originally named "Orange." When the railroad came through town in the 1880s, the town was named Chipley after Mr. William Dudley Chipley. Mr. Chipley was President of the Pensacola and Atlantic Railroad and was also a Florida state senator from 1895 to 1897. The railroad originally intended to establish a station a few miles away from Orange. Some of t...

Today, I Kayak up to the springs and get the Whole place to Myself! Cypress Springs is a 2nd magnitude spring that discharges from two vents in the limestone boulders at the bottom of the spring pool. The diamet...

Hi Keith and Ollie! Happy new year!
Happy New Year to you too Mrs. Kelly!! Ollie says Hi!! 👋
Very nice footage! Enjoyed full watch 👍
Thank You!! I see you do walking tours.. I'll definitely have to check them out when I'm not out and about! Subscribed to you!
Favorite place to eat in PC. Wife Woman and I go there every year for our Anniversary. Thanks for sharing.
We love it too! Especially the Trash Burger 🍔
I need to visit there more often. I hunt outside of there off 230.
It's a quaint little historic town. Lots of history
Very Cool!
Thanks!! Just having some fun👈 😉
I liked it
Yes!!! Yes you did!! Thanks 🎉
Hi to you and little Ollie from Florence, Alabama 🦋
Hello!! 👋 Love beautiful North Alabama! & the Tennessee River! Thanks for watching!!
I might swing through there on my way back from Indy next month. It reminds me of Midwest anywhere small town right down to the tracks running through the middle of town.
It's a simple small town with a historical charm. Hopefully, the railroad passenger cars start back through like has been promised for the past 10 years.
Neat little town. Thanks for sharing
Thank You @chazco so much for watching!
Best friend Janice Johnson lives there❤do you know her
@@pamelamallory3922 Hi Mrs Pamela! Thank you so much for watching! I've always loved seeing the history of these towns. I am local to the panhandle area, but I don't think I know of her. Merry Christmas 🎄
Would love to be on the water but, it has been cold in PCB this week. I haven't seen an otter since the last time I was down in Big Cypress. Hve you had any issues with leaving your vehicle at landings? They have been stealing catalytic converter at the Choctawhatchee landing in Ebro. ATB - Stan
Hi Stan👋 🥶Thanks for watching!! Personally, I haven't had any issues with theft.. but, I won't say I haven't been concerned in some areas. That's such a shame! I guess we'll hafta start watching each other's backs.
Do you fish this creek? is there good fishing along this creek
Hi Kevin, I don't fish it..But I know some that have. There is some good fishing there, from what I hear from family. They used to wade those creeks.
Nice!! We enjoy the videos and scenery’s, maybe one day we can all link up for a kayaking trip! Merry Christmas and be safe n blessed(D&D)
@@DadDaughter-outdoor-Adventures Thank You so much!! It was really beautiful this time of year! I love the fall scenery! Maybe so in 2025!! Merry Christmas to your family!!
@ thank you kindly brother.
Nice and peaceful! I always enjoy seeing the wildlife. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
@@sharit898 Thank you so much for your kindness! Merry Christmas to you & your family as well!!
We have snow lol. Good to see you enjoying this
Thanks!! ..and It's warming up this weekend😂
You said you want to travel this to the Choctawhatchee River but with someone. If you ever wanna collaborate i would like to help. Maybe you can show my some tricks with the cameras.
That's right! It'll probably be early spring or summer 2025 before I attempt that trip.. I appreciate that! It's one of my favorite creeks!
Hi earth!!
Hi Kelly🎄❄️🌟
I grew up 30 minutes from this pond. In 1982 I was 11 and swam in it and found several old cars from the turn of the 20th Century up to the 1950s.
Wow! That's awesome! I've never seen any cars in there, that's for sure! Thanks for watching!!
Sad and amazing, at the same time, how much all these places have changed! I grew up around them in the '60's, last time I was at Morrison Spring was in the early '80's. The only other ones I've visited since then are Cypress Springs and the Williford Springs system. All gorgeous places, but like you said..."in the summer this will be full of people". Stay Safe!
Yep, I have to agree. They say progress comes with change..but oftentimes, I really wonder. To what detriment?
I did realize you get fall color. Nice! But… complaining about 50 degree weather??? lol it’s currently 13 here 😂
🤣who's complaining??! I said "pretty nice!" 😂 Y'all stay Warm!!! 🔥🪵
Beautiful place 👍
Enjoyed vedio
I thought I noticed some drone shots in a recent video- nice!! 😎
Yessir!! I've been flying about 2 years now! Thanks for watching Dan!
@@EarthTrips Dang- that's awesome!! 💯

@EarthTrips Happy Thanksgiving Keith!! 🦃
Thanks for the inspiration! Planning a trip as we speak, and may even head over to Blountstown and have dinner at paramours too after !! 🤙🤙
Awesome brother! Hope to run into you sometime!
Thank You for Watching!! ..& We are bound to eventually! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy thanksgiving Keith, Ollie and family!!
Happy Thanksgiving Mrs Kelly!
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing
I appreciate that!! & Thanks for watching! Happy Thanksgiving!
@EarthTrips Like wise, Happy Thanksgiving
…catching up on your channel’s videos…thanks for posting 👍🏻
Hi Steve! Hope you're doing well! Happy Thanksgiving week!
@ …thanks …same to you, keep up the great videos.
No Snow Here😂 52° right now🎉
There’s snow out there. I’m not going out lol
Aww!!! Hi earth!
Good Morning Kelly👋👋
Beautiful.
Thank You my friend!
Beautiful! Only ever saw 1 gator in Holmes Creek, and he was a monster...but that was back around '83 or so. Never saw one there before or since. Stay Safe!
I know I've never seen any there either! But... This explains a lot! In the early Spring of 1984, Representatives of the Florida Fish & Game met on a late Saturday afternoon in the small suburb of Wewaw. Delegates from all over the State came from near and far to voice their opinions.. Many of them, it was said, came with fiery ideas and opinions about dangers lurking in Florida's waters. The majority of those delegates, it was said, came from the town of Tallahassee, the home of the Seminoles... and They Banned all alligators from any 'wet' water. 🤣 Soon after this, the talk show host Maury Povich determined all this nonsense I just posted above was a Big Fat Lie🤣 I'm just bein' silly🤣😂 Have a Great Week!!!
Good to Hear from ya! It's been a minute..I hope you're doing well!
@@EarthTrips Yeah, doing ok, just staying busy with everything except what I want to be busy doing! LOL Loaded up spur of the moment this afternoon and went fishing at a local lake...got there and when I turned my camera on...no card!...DID find a spot holding a lot of decent fish, but it's supposed to rain A LOT tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get something together in the next few days, then I'm off to TN for a week, so I might get a chance to wet a hook up there.
@@DEADorALIVEkayaking Awesome!! Well y'all have a good time in Tennessee!! & ..We could use a good rain👋✌️
That looked so serene and peaceful.
👍Thanks! It really was! And nobody there!
Had it all to yourself, too! Stay Safe!
That's right! Till about 1000am 😂
Hi!
Hello👋!!!
Love it!
Thank you!
Check out the hungry Geese 😁
That’s pretty!
Thanks! It's a great place to stop if you need a break from the Interstate drive!
Looks so peaceful
Thanks Kelly! These are just a few of the AMAZING gorgeous places I ❤ to go!! They are definitely peaceful!
I paddled a little further up that feeder creek. I didn’t make it to the source because of low flow and sinking sand. I think there is a spring up that way we just have to be diligent 😂 about finding it. Most definitely a lot of beautiful cypress trees right past where you turned around
Yep, I was knee deep in that sand, but it's a gorgeous area in there. I need to go exploring a little deeper when I have the time. Thanks for Watching!!
Beautiful shots of the spring
Thank you Christo! Hope you are well!!
