@@proxas9878 its something to do with items not being able to have multiple named/exclusive mods. It makes your chance to succeed the recomb a lot higher then without. If you read thru the reddit post i linked in the description it should explain a lot better why it is done!

I couldn't speak to how difficult it would be to roll a 2nd tier 1 that's desirable on your 1/0s or 0/1s, but you are correct in alot of things here; not only are you saving on initial bases, but your recomb bases going forward. By recombing 1/1s, you're guaranteed to recomb it as another 1/1 if you miss both 33% chances to get a 2/1 or a 1/2. Then ofc if both prefixes and suffixes hit and you get a 2/2 that's actually best case scenario for what Meggs is hoping for out of his final recomb. All without multimoding. But, not only is that a possibility, however slim; recombing the 2/1s or the 1/2s gives you far far better results because when you multimod them before recombing, that multimoded item is a crafted 3/3. That means that when you recomb two 3/3s, they have the best chance to recomb into another 3/3 (you have to win two 72% for a 3 mod prefix and suffix). This is NOT guaranteed with Meggs final recomb here, which shows he recombed the multimoded 3/2 on the left and a 2/3 on the right. That's only 5 mods for either suffix or prefixes, which is a 47% to result in a 2 mod, 53% to be a 3 mod. With the way recomb works, you have a 50/50 chance to roll prefixes or suffixes first, which because of the 5 recomb mod pool for either, you have a 2/5 chance to roll a exclusive mod. If you dodged that, your 2nd mod still now has a 1/4 chance to be an exclusive mod. At either of these rolls, if you hit the crafted on exclusive modifier, then the other exclusive modifiers you crafted can no longer be added (across both suffixes and prefixes, no matter which rolled first). Meaning 47% of the time, you have a 1/10 chance (2/5 * 1/4) to save this base from losing a t1 mod outright and a 53% chance that you simply roll 1 exclusive, 2 t1 guaranteed. However, even in the event that you do win that 1/10 chance, your recombed item still hasn't picked an exclusive modifier; so when it rolls the 2nd group of mods (the prefix or suffix group that hasn't been rolled yet), you still have to win a 53% chance it rollls as a 3 mod, meaning if it's a not a 3 mod, it's another 1/10 chance to roll two non exclusive mods. You can see now how even if you jackpot on one mod group, you haven't given yourself any advantage the second time around. Having explained it out this way, i guess you can intuitively judge the odds of crafting 1/1 bases with augments or alteration spamming with FOUR divines worth of alterations that we'd be saving; and potentially you can skimp on the multimod final recomb altogether at very early league start, crafting a relevant mod on a 2/1 weapon (which again you wouldn't have to multimod craft and recomb for) (making it a 3/1 weapon with two t1 prefixes) and then just exalting on suffixes. ~~~~~~~~~ This is how i've seen most recomb guides internalize these odds. I'm probably butchering this explanation with a bunch of word salad, so if you want a visual explanation that says this in a better word salad, Captain Lance has a recomb guide that also explains this philosophy: You want to leverage the fact that once an exclusive modifier is picked, other exclusive modifiers cannot be added, but still count in weight in the odds to roll 2 or 3 mods. So even in the scenario where the first group picked has only 5 mods in the pool, it's still a 0.047% chance that this first group picked DOESN'T roll an exclusive modifier (and 1 t1 mod). In other words, if you can practically guarantee that whatever modifier group rolls second will always consist of t1 mods, then you should internalize the odds such that it's a 50/50 the recomb rolls the group you don't care about first, and rolls second the group with your most important t1 mods (Captain Lance's video on recomb shows how he rolls multimoded bases hoping his weapon rolls prefixes 2nd so he gets the best odds of keeping t1 prefix phys mods, which ofc are always the most desired). THEREFORE, with that guarantee, you want the best odds of rolling 3 t1 mods so you should always multimod your final recomb bases to have a 6 mod pool on the mod group you hope to go second. With prefixes in mind, you'll be using two 2/1s you multimoded (one of the t1 mods would be the same across both since obviously you want the very best 3) in the hopes that you win the 50/50 you roll suffixes first. If you rolled suffixes first, you almost guarantee a 72% chance to 3 mod your desired t1 prefixes. (If you do want 3 t1 suffixes, recomb with two multimoded 1/2s) If you lose the 50/50, it's not a complete loss, you still have a 72% chance to roll 3 prefixes which would guarantee save the base as a 2/1 (or in impossilby slim chance, not pick an exclusive modifier), and even on that 28% lose chance, you still have the slight advantage of having 4 t1 non-exclusive mods in the pool against 2 crafted exclusive modifiers possibly giving you a 4/6 then 3/5 chance not to roll an exclusive modifier).

@@MrRaja lol all good. I've made the mistake earlier this league focusing on just my 3 t1 prefixes by using fossils on my bases and annulling all my suffixes except the multimod. Did a bit more than 20 divs for two recombs and luckly hit the 3 prefixes. Because there's no t1 suffix, all crafted mods, i had to pay to multimod it again and yeah, two crafted suffixes are pretty mediocre nowadays. Ended up spending 70 divs on a 5 t1 mod weapon like 2 weeks later

If you consider how many divines you'd spend with essences on a fractured t1 base, then metacrafting "affixes cannot change" + annul/veil/exalted slams, recombinating is way WAAY cheaper.

@@tobiaslarsen2302 Grave crafting was a huge gamble compared to this. You're complaining that recombination is not cheap while in Necropolis you required very specific corpses, and you could still get f'd in the a even with a full graveyard. There is no effing way you grave crafted for SSF gear. Wisps was anything but deterministic, and to be profitable you needed a solid meta build which could range between 20-30 div before you could start juicing properly. The only thing more deterministic than recomb was vanilla Harvest.

@ grave crafting was very easy for ssf gear. Tier 1 guaranteed, blocking corpses ... I made 3 ssf builds with it. Bama with t1 triple ele bow for example. And its wasnt also not overpowered. Overpowered is it for 24/7 trade league players.

@@ceezymuccheez search sheepishlys guides for recombinating ci trickster gear. Even if u arent playing this build it will give u a better understanding of the process. Its basically craft 1 mod items, recombinate into 2 mod items then multi mod and recombinate into a 4 mod item. Ill also have a video out soon covering recombinating in a more general way.

monsters cannot be leeched from, reduced aura effect, minus to all max res, less revoc rate of life, less armour and block chance, less cooldown recovery(makes your shockwaves trigger less often), monsters steal charges, less AoE, -20 to amount of suppress spell damage prevented. could skip some of the defensive mods depending how juiced the maps are. tbh I just copied a few similiar POBs from poeninja and thats what they were using. The base crit chance and bonus crit multi for nearby enemies both help our damage a lot but there could be a better option I havent looked at! For int you could get it on the ring.

After this build I've been playing a EE CI Lightning Strike trickster and its been amazing. im at 17.6k ES and basically unkillable in almost all content i throw at it. Do you have a fav build of the league?

I have not tried flicker strike yet but its definitely on my list! That Mjolnir Shock Nova build looks really fun too! Hoping to try a few more builds with how much of the league is left but who knows how much PoE 2 will consume us aha

@@meggsgg but how did you craft it on your gear? Where did u get currency?

@@WitherAndrot i got my town going very early, i think by end of act 1 or early act 2, and sent out shipments to ribenfell of 120ish crops which got me some currency, i even got a divine lol. Selling rare items for currency. The black market at faustus was very good to me, make sure you use this. Starting in act 5 i would look at vendors for amethyst rings. For all normal bases i would either orb of alchemy them or alteration spam for life and hopefully another decent mod and use that until i had a better rare version. also benchcraft anything u need like res/mana/attributes on all your gear if it has an open spot.

its definitely worth saving up for the 50m if you are able to! you'll need mostly rank 10 farmers tho to make it not take to long. you could send out smaller boats of a 1000 of each crop while you are waiting for enough crops for the 50mil boat. how do you list yellow beasts for sale? since there's hundreds of different yellow beasts. are you using TFT, or dumping into a tab where every item in tab is listed for same price (1/60 div), or some other way? how do the buyers of yellow beasts look up to buy them?

@@alexshindy7274 I use the trade site, to list them pricing 1 is enough, no need to price all of them individually, fortunately, all yellow beasts count as the same item regardless of what beast and modifiers it has, to buy and check for the current rate you go to the bulk exchange section of the trade site and look for the beast category, It is towards the bottom, the first kind of beast you can select for is the yellow beast

The real question

should be around 45 - 50 maps, azurite chance is 10% so 3 veins/map is roughly around 1 time every 3.3 maps the amount you are getting should be around 4.2-5k azurite if i remember correctly

use delve scarabs that spawn niko instead you can safe those passive points and it also increases the azurite amount you are getting from the maps

That's the problem, this sounds nice if it was just a freebie bit eith most strata those points are needed / are nore profitable spent else where

@@smithers4420 i agree, however with if you can spare just one scarab slot it is super worth it if you don't like running super juiced maps, it is also content every character can do, I super like it that way basically 5 additional atlas nodes
