I wasn't expecting this mix so I won't even lie when I say I teared up. After wandering around a desolate landscape on foot for such a significant time with next to no teammates (not that edgar, sabin, and celes weren't good company) and then hearing this when you finally take the skies, it really makes you pumped to save the world

Where's that funky bass from the original?!

Cid is so cute in his little bunny suit thing, I just can't let him die. Besides, I think he and Celes have really been through enough already.

I never knew that Owzer was sitting on a bean bag. I always thought those pale yellow things on the side were his arms.

I still think Cid's death should be the only option. Not because I hate a happy ending (haha... sorry) but more because it's more impactful. If you save Cid, then yay happy... but this version of the world isn't happy. It's chaotic, dark, filled with death and destruction and Cid's death portrays that tragedy perfectly, for Celes' character at least. Celes, gone for a year, on an island, alone, then the only person she loved aside from Locke dies. Impactful. Other side - she believes her friends are dead, Cid survives... it's just unusual for that to feel happy... kinda out of place.

I am not teary eyed, it's just the onion I am chopping making me tear up. Still to this day one of Nobue Uematsu's best track. Screw Cloud+Tifa, Squall+Rinoa, it is Locke+Celes ship I want to be in.

I'll never forget seeing the credits for the Pixel Remaster version after beating this on PS4, so many years after doing this on NES and GBA. Just the gratitude I had for being able to do this all over again made me want to watch the credits in its entirety when so many others skipped it. From defeating Garland to the 4 Fiends to the "tokens of courage" from Bahamut, from visiting each location to collecting every chest to filling the Bestiary (yes, even the rare Warmech), playing Final Fantasy so many years later was like reconnecting with an old friend. It was also my first Final Fantasy Platinum Trophy.

This game was actually pretty good all things considered and this theme was baller. It offers a sense of mystery, excitement and feeling of a climax building.

Huge downgrade

I’m gonna be honest. This game wasn’t a bad experience. It was fine. And this song here was definitely one of its best aspects. I beat this game in the beginning of the year and all I wanted to do afterwards was play this theme over and over again.

The English version's singer isn't great, but she's not terrible. But does anyone else think the Japanese version sounds awful? It's like icepicks stabbing into my ears.

There’s a sense of despair in the beginning of the story. As the the story progresses hope is restored in the characters it feels like and the fight between good and evil as well freedom are emphasized well in the story. The characters all come from different sides of life to come together to fight for one cause.

Final Fantasy VI is my favorite FF game (and overall 2nd favorite game of all times), and its soundtrack is fantastic. But over the years, I have grown to like *some* FFV music better. I loved "Searching for Friends" in FFVI, but nowaday, I seem to prefer world map themes that gives us an air of sadnedd and/or mystery it, as if you didn't know what was goinf to happen next. Lime in FFIX when the Mist starts engulfing the world... "The Evil Mist's Rebirth" was an awesome world map theme. This bring us to "A New World", this world map theme. It has this air of mystery, but it also has that air of sadness. And like I replied to kennethamparo1138, I think this music fits so much to the fact that some of the towns in the game have been absorbed into the void, and they are feplaced by massive holes.

I just dont understand how to beat this. My party is 65+ and i get wiped clean every time.

i loved this fight though Zeromus hits hard i kept getting Rydia Ko big bang always KO her straight away. so i was like am keeping her down cause shes more or less useless unless she summoned ended up have a few party members still alive before he went down.
