I have a problem with my JBE on a X5 4.8 2007, need ro be replaced ..I got an used one and tried to change the VIN with ista+ but could not do it. So..this tool can do it for sure? Thanx

Dang, one needs a scanner to replace the battery on a BMW! 1. Do you have a link to the scanner? 2. Did it give you any codes that the battery was dying? I have a 2015 BMW and I just realized that it's still an OEM. I'm wondering if it's going to die soon.

2:58 is better to remove the end that goes to the door, when I replaced regulator in passenger back seat I removed it like this and it broke :( , this time I removed it from end to the door to replace the handled. took me 40 minutes to take it apart, my lunch hour is over so I took the interior of the door back to the house to finish there since I dont have a garage, just had my first cut, will try the drill. Thanks for the video after 5 years and is still helpful!

I've got the same problem on my bmw where there's no air coming out of the front vents but it's coming from the back vents for the back seat i took my blower motor out and it wasn't hard to turn like yours in the video it was easy to turn I put it back in but still no air coming out do you have a idea of what it could be

THIS is labor of love man. I own a 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro. Been working on the nerves to do this vs mechanics telling me to just get rid of it and buy another one. My car is extremely clean in the inside, with a nice body, & I know what the car has already gone through for the last 8 years. I just want it up and running again. Why waste a beautiful german tank. ❤

use a heat gun to heat it up and you wont break the tool

Thank you this was a great tutorial. I was quoted $300 for part plus 3 hours labor and followed your video, mine was quite hard to wrestle out but found a good second hand part on eBay for $120 inc postage and installed it as you showed and works like new! I did pray a few times when I was removing it, the old part was really jammed but thank God the new part fit it without trouble! I did take some pictures to help me get the orientation of everything right!

I used a lighter to melt the plastic and make it easier to remove the rivets. Not the cleanest solution but very efficient 😊

Looks like the reader is a Launch Creader Elite specifically for BMW/Mini. It’s going for $129 on eBay new with quick shipping. Not bad. It even lets you program new $30 key fobs. Even if all keys are missing. Pretty sweet considering the cost to tow a car to the dealer or have a key fob made for $300+.
