I just got a 3 mth old from my friend who had babies wht temp to u recommend for the thermostat
I've been able to convert every ball i have bred or bought to f/t permanently. There's no need to ever feed live if you dont want to. Id definitely try all other methods and options first.
Great video ty😊
Thank you! Always happy to keep bringing the videos!
Thanks for all the wonderful advice 😊
Any time! Thank you for watching!
Alberta Canada doesn't allow live rats, even for pets. Snakes have to eat frozen thawed.
I had to research that when I saw your comment. That's a bummer :/ If the snake won't eat that could be a cause for concern. Are mice or ASF's allowed live?
I won the pastel wookie ghi red stripe hey clown
I also cut my eggs! The main thing that bothers me about cutting is humans nature to intervene once cut because they misidentify an issue. I have seen breeders cut the egg and they see the umbilicus over the snakes back or something perfectly normal and jump to “oh no! its a wrapped/twisted cord” when in reality 99/100 occurrences the snake will exit the egg perfectly fine on it own, With no issue. We see problems that are not there and intervene and introduce risk of infection, stress or worse. Then say ‘we saved this snakes life’🙄 I have never seen a twisted umbilicus in 8 years of breeding which admittedly isn’t a long period of time or a huge sample set but ive only ever had to intervene with a single egg and that was a deformed twin egg. My point being is that younger, less experienced breeders seem to have way more “wrapped umbilicus” issues than a breeder that has been around the block a few times. And that is because of the content that gets pumped out by the breeding community. Ah this comment unintentionally turned into a bit of a rant😂 but you get my point! Another awesome video!
Lol It's a good point though. It's always best to be 100% certain there is an issue before one mistakenly causes an issue in an attempt to solve one that may have never been there. Not many worse feelings than that. For new breeders I always recommend if possible that they have a helpful "mentor" they can maybe reach out to for a second opinion. Heck I still ask for second opinions and learn stuff every chance I can. Sometimes I relearn or unlearn things too lol.
I got a steal for 200 on this day from yrc young reptile company it was a visual clown leopard pastel lesser fire het albino 280 otd
That is very cool! Hope you are able to do awesome things with it! Congrats!
I've never tried het to het to acquire a gene that I want would you recommend that route if it's significantly cheaper it's tristripe by the way
It depends on what is available for that gene and of course your own personal finances that you choose to put into each genetic you choose to get into. TriStripe is one of those that is pretty up there in price and not as much work with it so that could definitely fit the bill. Of course it is always ideal to go with visuals however sometimes that isn't feasible. I did it with Monarch and got a Blackhead Het Monarch Male just to get that gene into my Monarchs and I got a great deal on it. I will be taking the chance and going Het to Het for the first time in a very long time to try to get it (wish me luck lol) Once I hit the visual I will likely move on from that male I got and work with the visual I hit :)
@@RhynosRoyals thank you for your input that is what I needed to hear and good luck on the monarch black head it's going to be an amazing animal monarch is definitely my favorite gene and blackhead to boot is another level I look forward to seeing it
Much appreciation for your time and knowledge another great selection ❤
Thank you very much :)
Got a double het dg clown and a lemon pastel spark 50% het sunset clown this week for crazy deals! Both females. Up to 9 snakes now. Not thrilled with 50% but ya never know!
Make sure you send that into RGI for a shed test for sure! If that proves out you can definitely celebrate but even if it doesn't, you can now know how to plan for the future pairings!
Always love your auction videos. One thing though, at around the 17:00 mark you said that Barnhart Black Pastel is a polygenetic version of regular Black Pastel. Last I heard from RGI it was found to actually be a different gene that is allelic with the others in that group. I may have misunderstood though, if so please let me know. Thanks.
Thank you, and yes you are correct and I appreciate you letting us know. I definitely misspoke and made a error on that. Silly me lol. They are compatible and act very much the same the same with each other (including the kinking sadly) but they are separate genetically. I still marvel at the science behind all this and how we learn things everyday, even about genes we thought we knew everything about. We are correcting that on this video now in post to avoid any accidental misinformation passed along so thank you very much :)
@@RhynosRoyalsawesome! I couldn’t remember if I was thinking of the right thing.
I always forget Jim had been working with Paint for a while now. We only ever talk corn snakes lol. He's a good dude. SWReptiles is definitely worth checking out.
Amen to that. Jim is a great guy and has always been helpful. I always love talking to him and Jonas at every show.
I’ve noticed since you started these videos more people now post in time to be on these videos
Well I know weekends are a hot time for them to end normally. But it would be awesome to think my videos had some effect in when people want to post them. We are actually talking about doing a live stream of these every so often during the week.
Google: YOU NEED TO GO TO THE ER!!!! Reality: Soap.
Lol basically yes. The idea of going anywhere but to the place you keep your Band-Aids is bonkers to me for a ball python bite.
Thanks for the info great video
Great job! A lot of fun watching these. Keep them coming
Glad you like them! We will definitely keep doing them!
Watching you put the price range in the traits category was me starting to say something to my screen only to remember this is a video and then silently sitting there going, "oh no. how long will it take for him to realize what he just did to himself. oh noooo, wait, there we go! He realized there's a filter problem.... oh no he doesn't realize he's still not in the price category aaaaaaaaa the timer is ticking down and he doesn't know what he's done! aaaaa!!!!!" Good video. You shot yourself in the foot there for the last seven minutes with the trait instead of price range box flub. But certainly an entertaining video to watch!
Thanks! It's a weird kind of video to make for sure haha. Normally I am trying to make as few mistakes as possible, if any at all in my videos and we will go back and correct in edit if I do. This video I try to make as few mistakes as possible but if I do make a mistake its part of the videos charm and is a feature lol. That filter had me losing my mind lol.
My first clutch is hatching now. Basic I'd say OD Pied x Pied. I incubated at 88.5 and my friend convinced me to cut on day 55. Well we are on day 58 and 3 of 7 are poking their heads out.
Congrats! That's really awesome! And OD pied for a first clutch I can guarantee is a great start.
👿🔱😈..what company/website has the best snake tub rack systems and incubators?.. Price and quality..ty
There are a whole bunch for sure. Next Level Displays is great. We are very partial to using them and they are great people. There is also C Serpents which sell racks and incubators. Other than that Reptile Basics sells the Vivarium Racks, and Freedom Breeder and ARS sell the professional metal racks. There are many others but one of our first videos we actually showed many off. Don't mind the old video production quality lol. th-cam.com/video/_bSolstkdXw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yFr01myogI7xqqpb
@@RhynosRoyals awesome thank you for the insight and the information brother
👿🔱😈... you showed a rack for keeping rats.. my experience of breeding rats they can chew through almost anything and escaped from almost anything so my question is how are you keeping adult rats and plastic containers ?
Right now personally I use tanks for the rats. Hard to clean but it works good for them. I will move to the racks eventually and actually got a couple but I am renovating a powered outdoor shed to put them into eventually. They can defiantly escape almost anything if they wanted to. However in all my time I have only had 1 get out and when I went into the room it darted across the room from the sink and climbed back into it's home lol. If you take care of them I think you will find they are inclined to stay put.
@@RhynosRoyals the problem I had with them in aquariums was overcrowding I eventually had a room full of Tanks just for feeder rats.. I love reptiles but I never enjoyed or liked taking care of rats.. for me it's just easier to have a freezer of dead ones but they are crazy expensive
@@RhynosRoyals do you know of a reputable company that sells rack systems for reptiles.. I've been thinking about getting into breeding ball pythons and all the videos I see the Breeders have large rack systems
Hopefully these keep coming, love these series!
You can count on it!
I love watching you do these, I was laughing a bit when you were saying "oh but if I did this I'd be making all-white snakes", I was like "oh, oh bud no." 😂
Lol yeah that's the cost of me having to hurry. My reasoning skills haha.
Love this content brother your use of MM makes for some of the best ball python videos on TH-cam
I really appreciate that! Thank you!

Fun fun fun ❤
Glad you enjoyed 😀
It would be awesome if you could do one like this for hognose❤
That's would definitely be interesting. Could happen soon :)
❤ I love when you do these😊
Thank you! They are fun to do. Well mostly 😆
We were able to pick up the Lace Clown from Reptile Kreations! Thank you for making these videos for all of us!
That is awesome! Congrats on getting into such an amazing gene. It will be exciting to see what you are able to do with him. And thanks for watching!
Thanks brother for show casing our GHI chocolate lace clown. She actually sold for a lot less then we expected. But thanks for showing her
I've been watching the auctions for the past couple of days, and I can't help but laugh a little every time I scroll by the piss phantom 😂
Lmao I have to do a live stream of these auctions someday so it can catch my authentic reactions to these because I about died laughing when I saw it 😅
Good time to buy 😅
Amen! My problem is the room available and more babies on the way at that 😆
❤ amazing hog nose prices. Could you make a hog nose video sometime?
Yep they are on the list to do a video about again 😀
@@RhynosRoyals ty I can't wait 😁
Thank you for doing this show I feel like I'm learning so much❤😊 I have only five snakes now all female starting to build my collection and breed ASF and mice. So in the near future I'm going to have to purchase males to breed to them And I feel like watching this builds my knowledge so much every time I watch you do these breakdowns. I watch a lot of stuff but I'm really I guess mainly interested in what kind of males I should be looking for and mixing geans and things like that. So quite frankly, I love when you do these specific videos😊❤
Thank you! I'm very glad it is helpful for you 😀
Hey man, how's auction works as far as payment? Do you have to pay in full if you win the auction? Or can you make a payment plan? Please advise
Payment is required in full within 24 hours. Or you will receive a permanent ban from participating in morphmarket auctions.
That is correct 24 hours unless you make other arrangements with the seller or they say otherwise :)
Thankyou once again for your fabulous break down and your time
Thank You!
Got the best high white Pied with a single emoji a few months ago. I love her so much
It's random and rare but I love when I get one or 2 emoji pied for the year 😃
Great info thanks for sharing 👍
Happy to do so! Thanks for watching!
Great info. Thanks.
Thank you!
Great video as always, video recommendation if your looking for ideas. How to price animals on MorphMarket and how to come up with a reasonable prices especially for rare combinations that never been posted.
A good suggestion! And thank you!
Great looking collection
Thank you kindly!
As a first time breeder who plans to have their first clutch around the end of the year this information is greatly appreciated and very helpful.
Glad to help!
The eggs are oxigen permeable, while its true that snakes consume less oxygen than mammals, the babies will die in a matter minutes if they couldnt breathe. Some people have snakes die in the egg due to asfixiation when they cover the top of the container with a plastic
Before they begin to hatch yes definitely. They are in an embrotic sac inside the egg. This is connected to the veins in the egg which deliver oxygen to them. Once they break this however they need to breath conventionally and if they cannot escape they will eventually suffocate. And you are right that to much plastic with zero holes for air exchange could also kill all the eggs. I always use 2 to 4 very very tiny holes in the egg bin but otherwise cover with press and seal.
Love emoji pieds!
It's always a good day when I see a smiley face looking at me on a snake lol
Watch the time on them all the ones i watch quadruple in price in the last 30 min
That can happen in some hot auctions for sure but some are won for what I would classify as a "steal" depends on a lot of different factors.
This is my 3rd season hatching ball python eggs. I normally leave them alone until one pip before I cut the eggs. I don't open egg boxes and wipe condensation. However, it's exciting to see what is the result of the pairing. As always, great video.
Yeah I won't mess with the eggs before hatching unless I see a major issue which is almost never. A good practice in general. Thanks for watching :)
Good Job! 😃👌
Thanks! 😄
Thanks for all the great info as always 😊
My pleasure!
Great video thank you for explaining that to everyone I get so angry when I see certain people cut them open and let them come out on purpose or pull them out halfway
Thank you! Yeah I'd say almost all of the time there is no reason to do that unless it's the save the live of the animal. Heck I was able to slip the wrapped cord in this video without even removing the snake from the egg.
