Who's the Greater Influence: Arguments about Spiritual Maturity
มุมมอง 4233 ปีที่แล้ว
It seems as though men in the Christian community usually believe that spirituality or spiritual maturity… consists of “religious” performances. In this video let me see if I can explain with examples what I mean by religious performances and how quoting Scripture is not a reliable way to qualify a husband as a spiritual leader.

Jeremiah 3:6-8 [6]The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. [7]And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. [8]And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. I wonder if God was not a good enough husband, therefore caused his wife to go after other gods?
What about the bride of Christ, the Israelite nation? Even though Jesus, the perfect spiritual husband, loved the church perfectly, the bride still rejected Him and crucified the husband. While I do agree that men have a very large responsibility of living and guiding their family in the ways of Christ, I still can't ignore the fact that both men and women are free moral agents who have to choose whether or not to serve Christ of themselves. Therefore I have to reject the idea that women are somehow saved or lost through their husband's actions.
So was it Adam's fault that Eve ate the forbidden fruit? Or better yet, was it God's fault she ate the forbidden fruit? Maybe her destructive behavior was only a response to something Adam or God did wrong?
Thank you for this. I have a lot of work to do 🙏🏽
Powerful
Yes!
Thank you!
So beautiful and the wife's Responses that would be nice not because she feels that he owes it to her but because she wants to spend more time with him. She loves to be known by her husband.
God Bless you thank you so much

This is so amazing you are my uncle my mother is your sister Gloria Miller /Gray
I have read the Bible from cover to cover on many occasions and I always find so many new points of interest that I did not see before each time it’s like an awaking of knowledge

God is feeding my spirit through you. Thank you for your faithfulness in Christ.
Thank you for your book and for this video. You have been a blessing to me and, I hope, those around me through the renewing of my mind.
Thank you for this episode, A great lesson, however the audio wasn't coming in 100 %.
Even better, read the Synoptics horizontally, taking notes as you go. Compare your notes then try to reconcile the differences. Good luck
Light and vegetation are created before the sun and moon. It is about the new heavens and new earth.
Nobody can read the bible, cover to cover, with a rational mind, and still be a believer.
I disagree I read new testament now I'm on Corinthians II and I read 6 pages everyday and it gets easier and it gets better honestly its increased my belief and is great for building a relationship with OUR LORD
@@Daniel_4.27 "with a rational mind". How was that story of Lot being raped by his two daughters? Quite wholesome, wasn't it? And Lot's wife murdered for looking over her shoulder? Very spiritual, if I do say so myself. Yes, murdered. There was no mention of consequence for "looking back". Just plain murder. Teaching the Godly message of "DO AS I SAY OR I WILL KILL YOU!!" But, incest is ok; just don't look over your shoulder. Good reading with a rational mind there buddy.
@@Daniel_4.27i agree
I have read it from cover to cover many times and each time I discover things that I didn’t catch the first time or my understanding of it wasn’t as clear as the time before
I have.
Any man who desire to improve the relationships in his life, you need to listen to Ken's teachings. It will change your and your family's life.

Can you do videos for stay at home moms that feel like they have no purpose gifts talents or doing anything for god. Being stuck not knowing
Good video
I love these scenario conversations. I'm enjoying your videos. Keep it up. Thank you so much and God bless!
I listened to the scenario and paused the recording and wondered how I would respond. My initial response was concern for the other person's health or emotions. The health part might be because I have seen a few accidents happen where someone blacked out or had a heart attack. This might have thrown that scenario off for self-testing. I do know that I surprise myself with an uncharacteristic ferocity when I see someone bullied, especially if I feel the person being bullied is weaker than the bully-er. I typically will avoid confrontation under any other circumstance. When the bully has been a child, I have taken that child under my wing on several occasions. In most cases, I feel I was a strong positive influence. Where others would show dislike toward them, I was firm but loving. I can react with dislike with an adult male and not be at all willing to feel any graciousness, though. I have had several of those experiences such as a man who beat is wife in the belly because he didn't want another child. The child was born severely disabled and they institutionalized the boy. When his wife asked if I would drive her and their daughter to a women's shelter, I gladly took her hoping she would leave the bad situation she was in. I often wondered why I didn't feel afraid of him, especially because I was in my early twenties at the time and mostly alone. I felt like my ire raise up when he was out and about instead. No fear - more fight.
This is so good Ken! Thank you. Such a good fire to be in.
🌎 Amen 🙏🙏🙏. Thank you Father
This is so good!
Happy Thanksgiving Mr. and Mrs. Nair!
What a powerful parallel, two fathers giving two sons to draw the couple into a closer walk with God. This story reminds me of the story of Abraham, except their sacrifice was realized.
I literally just found out that I’m an exhorter. So I’m here 😅🕊
Nope it's my gift and I'm socially awkward and an introvert.
I'm the same way. This video doesn't describe me at all, but I have a heart for fellow believers who are discouraged, sick or struggling in some way. Backslidden believers who have strayed from the fold need exhortation as well when the timing is right. You don't have to be an outgoing, clever communicator to do the Lord's work. Moses and Paul weren't big talkers and look what they did!
@@jonathansmith3031 The Lord will give you the words to say.
What is it that tells you that exhortation is your gift? I'm not sure if you've given this any thought or not, but is it possible that it's not your gift, but you have strong exhorter tendencies? Something that Ken often mentions when he teaches on motivational gifts, is that the manifestation of these gifts may differ between men and women. I studied under Ken for years, and I have been convinced too many times that what he says about these gifts are accurate. It's not a silver bullet for everyone, but most of the dominant characteristics described here, from what I've experienced, are true for people with that gift.
