Wild part is how many times you will have to parallel parkonce,twice in a carreer but it jas to be made actually its useless but u never know & wildly you better practice it i did 27yrs & only parallel parked twice in my lifetime but i trained MANY & Happy Trails

You really should let your hands out of your sleeves. It is not a 'cool' appearance. Your range is not set to DOT regulations. Please check federal guidelines.

You can do it with any sized hood, you just swing a little further
Remember once you test with an automatic that’s all you’re qualified to drive! It’s best to test with manual transmission and you can drive either!
Why? The companies that would hire a fresh rookie don't even carry manual trucks.
I gave up driving in 2002. All I drove were manuals. There were a few automatics around, but I think they still had a clutch for stop/start. Times have changed.
I’m currently in cdl school, extremely crappy trucks we’re using, but anyway, those 3 color lines on the side of the truck are genius and would definitely help me allot with this offset technique,I always over shoot the turn after aligning then turning the truck and trailer at 90… instead of the 45 degree turn that you should take, thanks allot…. Again this lines are great

That was lazy. Although that was a clean maneuver. the driver didn't even walk to the rear. He just looked to th rear driver's side of the trailer.
Do you have measurements for the boxes? I haven't seen anything yet that indicates any distances, width of the box, etc.
Thank you for this video. We teach a slightly different way at my school, but having different ways to show students gives them more opportunities to find the method that works for them. Great video!

Practicing this now in school. I’ve got this portion down and getting the offset backing down. I’ve got it but the timing has to be right!
For the reverse offset I stopped timing it, I was told to make one full turn and count 4 Mississippis, never get the same results. Instead when my back trailer tire is even with the cone, I make half a turn, look at my convex mirror and when the last three cones disappear I turn right till my tractor and trailer line up, then I use my straight back skills to maneuver in. I should make a video!

@@CDLInstructorSAGEI'm in New Mexico. The rules change weekly. First, static brake test, then applied, then tug test. Last week, applied, then tug, then static test. A student forgot and failed the static, so they changed it and made it first! That's NM! 😂

Omg I was practicing this amd the reverse yesterday with a 53' trailer. My back end kept going over the boundary cones on the left side because I didn't have enough room to turn into the opening. Practice makes perfect, but it was frustrating because usually I can parallel park. Get ready, changes take effect May 1.
Slide your trailer tandems back to better control it.
Haha, I was practicing myself and one of the other instructors blew the whistle on me a half a dozen times. I went back to my office and left the instructors to figure it out. 🤣 I am rusty.
So basically this is the same thing as a driver's license test drive defensively nothing new
