A Bus Journey from Tanjong Pagar Road to Victoria Street (Singapore)
This is a bus journey taken on the 19 Nov 2020 when Singapore is still in Covid-19 Phase 2. This bus travel along the Tanjong Pagar Road towards Victoria Street. It passed through the Chinatown area (Eu Tong Sen Street), Hill Street area, then Victoria Street.

Hi there! First of all, thank you so much for the video and showing us how to replace the wlan card. I have been meaning to use this laptop with the lid closed but whenever I do so, the wifi connection just drops until I lift the lid up again. Have you experienced something similar and would the upgrade fix this?
Hi. The laptop is operating correctly. When you closed the lid, the laptop will go into sleep or standby mode. It will disconnect all connections. When you lift the lid up, it will reconnect the WIFI. If you want the WIFI to remain connected, then you need to change the lid's behavor. You can go to battery icon, right-click on it, click Power Options and "Choose what closing the lid does" in the left pane. Change it to "Do Nothing." and the WIFI will stay on. However, you will sacrifice your battery power.
Bro I recently brought Lenovo s540 and as usual I m also encountering wifi slow speed problem in this new laptap while in my old laptop(different) speed is coming good....!! So plz suggest me what to do in the new Lenovo s540 laptop?

I have listed some recommendations here. You can consider 9560 or 201 at this moment. I am sure Amazon India carries them.

Try AX201NGW and 9560NGW. Both from Intel.

Thanks for making this, my S540 currently has random wifi drops that span from seconds to several minutes. I will consider buying a replacement wifi card, any suggestions?
Have you done some troubleshooting? like updating the wifi driver, checking wifi channel selection, updating router's firmware etc? With S540, i will recommend to get those CRF wlan cards. They are like AX201 (WIFI6; best to pair with a WIFI6 router), 9560ac (WIFI5) etc. Hope these help.

Hi, I also have same laptop with exact same configuration. I have seen there are 3 RAM slots can I use all 3 with 8GB RAM or 16 GB RAM. I contact with lenevo support team they told me that, they never ever tested for 3 slots and 16 GB ram capacity... But i can see on mother board there are 3 slots... means something they keep to upgrad in future! please suggest ...
This is strange because its spec said it has only single slot. Also when you dismantled, the area is only enough for a single sodimm. The official spec claimed the max ram is 12GB but i believe you can try adding a 16GB to see if it can detect 20GB. Do double check you can see the 3 ram slots before buying any ram to try.

You need to check whether your AC3165 has the CRF marking that indicates it can support CNVi. If not, you are safer with AC9260.

I need to buy new ram 32GBx1 for upgrade. Where the RAM position?
It is under the big silver plate next to the battery and SSD. Remove it and you should see the DIMM slot. You can download the Lenovo Hardware Maintenance Manual to see the picture.
Can you please tell me. What was the frequency of the RAM which was there. Remember i'm not talking about the soldered ram. Or from the task manager. You can see it only the Ram. As both ram are having different frequencies. I want to upgrade it. Hence looking for the current Ram frequency
The required spec of the RAM is 2400MHz. According to many memory vendors, you can use anything faster than 2400MHz and it will be compatible. My unit is running on a 2666MHz. You can verify this at Lenovo site or the other memory vendors' website on compatibility.

Yes, you can always replace them. I do not think there is any restriction. There are many choice and if you are worried, stay with intel wlan. It is definitely worth the upgrade. Do take note of my video last section.
so the new wifi card is still wifi5 or it is wifi 6?
The killer 1550i is a wifi5. For wifi6, you need to use a wifi6 router and a wifi6 wlan card. I have upgraded a E585 to wifi6 wlan card. Check out the video.
