Many of the stars you get are based on the number of punches you throw. For Don 2, if you throw 6 punches, the next one will give you a star 100% of the time if he's not stunned. Also, you have a 1/16 chance to get a random star on him, but I don't show those here.

In this hack, that's impossible. They changed his moves so he no longer backs up at 40 seconds, which is required for the 42 second victory. However, it is still possible to beat him in less than that with the clock stop glitch, but since it only works on a few fighters, it would not be different enough to be publishable on TASVideos, which was my goal. In any case, this TAS has been beaten. You should check my newer videos for the latest one.

Just tested it and unfortunately, it's not possible. You would need one more knockdown, which only the headgear provides.

@@DJIncendrationwould it maybe be possible to have him go idle in round 1 and 2 and then just get his health to where at the beginning of round 3 you can just instantly knock him down and you will be able to take 2 knock downs and 2 recoverys.

​@@jackbutler6347 Unfortunately, we have a limited number of hearts and so I have to take knockdowns in round 1. He can only go idle when he goes for his triple clothesline or whatever it's called, which only happens after Macho is knocked down twice. With that in mind, I don't think it's possible, but I can certainly test it out.

@@DJIncendration well idk if this will work but can’t you get contender Super Macho Man idle without him doing the triple clotheslines and maybe it’s also possible in TD.

@@phonicfan31 Cause that's the rom I used as a base for the hack. Data is stored at different addresses in the tyson version, so weird issues can result from using that rom

@@HexadecimalMantis When I used the Tyson version, I didn:t notice any issues. None of the gameplay had to change from switching versions; the improvement on Mr. Sandman was just me coming up with a better strategy.

@@DJIncendration there seems to be no visual queue to warn the incoming uppercuts, kinda like Wii Title Defense Sandman, but even tighter

Thanks! Honda 1 in the original game is even more wild in my opinion, but yeah, this one is crazy. It was pretty hard to TAS because I needed to manipulate the RNG so the stars would deal as much damage as they did.

This rom hack removed his taunt, which means the 42-second KO isn't possible.

If you want i have a good emulator and punch out rom
