Man, and our 80” hot strip mill has been idle for years because we can’t produce enough slabs to feed it. I’d love to see this process in person.
The operator didn't do set up, and also didn't use his load chart
He did not use extend outriggers out.
Probably a union "operator". In real crane outfits like TNT or Mammoet we call these union chaps lever pullers as this is what they are
💯🌞
यह ऑपरेटर की गलती है आउट्ररीगरबाहर रखे के बम डाउन मारना चाहिए थी
I've been operating cranes for the last 18 years, but i guess for this newbies outriggers are optional 😂
It,s happen due to operator,s over confidence 😂 with ego, try to boom down without fully extended outriggers, with attachment flyjib also, lol😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😮😮
Mr George!
I knew it, George McFly again 😂
I will sell you my 22 PA
Лентяй
No more until 2022
Operator was taken away on a stretcher because his ego was destroyed
I worked here for a while. didn't like it at all
Ему лень опоры выдвинут
Sold...like almost all of them are right now.
таких идиотов не понимаю. кран работает за счёт опоры .я всегда стараюсь их максимум открывать . нельзя же так работать.
Ну вот, оказывается усачи и в США затесались, начали краны без опор выставлять и заваливать.
“Terminator 2”, anyone?? T-800’s final confrontation with the T-1000!!!
Takes too long to run the outriggers out, I got things to lift!....lol
Yeah, besides I’m only lifting over the side
Fuck are your out riggers doing lol
Never extend the outrigger. You can boom down at over front and back but not the side. Newbies operator.
like you van make any difference by tighten less or more on those clamps
Also being non union or union doesn't make a difference. Accidents happen to both.
Not sure where you're from. Where I come from, Union Operating Engineers are trained at school prior to getting into the seat to begin with. You also get a certification for future Employers to see prior to being hired.
@@inilledra im from Los Angeles, im certified. But I've seen many videos of union operators have accidents and flip cranes over, bend booms. Being union doesn't make you impervious to accidents. We are humans, it happens.
Driving?? But it looks like he has wood underneath the rear and front drivers side outriggers??
He was parked, had to be to fold the jib out.. the outriggers should be pushed out to full span and set before that, but this is why
hello sir , can you tell me the name of the clamps you used.
PITTSBURGH Corner Clamp With Quick Release
Plenty of space to erect fully outriggers don't understand y!!!🤔🤔🤔

what kind of steel are u using? stainless NEN - EN ?
No regular mild steel
How do u know your frame is flat? Square by measuring corner to corner but how do you know the corners at all on the same plane? I use a string from opposite corners and see if it touches in the middle.
yeah pulling a cross string is a good way to check for that but these heavy gage square tube gate frames had very little give true at every corner ,when I installed them on the post everything lined up good
You have an adorable dog c: (saw it in one of your other videos) Please subscribe back (:
Good doggy :)
Very nice! Thumbs up from Ireland :) !
Great Video. I went there as a Salesman, for a product CSI used ,from a Company that I worked for, in the early 1990s. I remember, how I kind of hated to go there, because of the extreme heat, even so, it was a very interesting, fascinating place. I wondered how anyone could work in such a hot place.
moofushu yes the 90 amp did that i will show my weld soon you just have to know how to weld and any welder will work find
better wire betters welds 0.35 right :)
I'm a operator there, and I see more tours than I do profit. They should charge you fuckers for taking tours.
AnimalAssassins: IF you still work there, heck of a way to talk about your employer.

The harbor freight welder gave you that weld bead? That can't be the 90 amp welder.
yes its a cheap machine but it can weld please subscribe thanks
Nice cart. How is it holding up?
still working just need to aire up the tires every other day please sub
yeah it's OK for under $100 good for small jobs quick fix ups, one of the things I don't like about this machine is that it stays on even if your not pulling the trigger use commonsense. but if you know how to run a bead you can weld with just about any thing, some guy weld like crap with good machines they just need more practice and it would be even harder for them to use this cheapo welder. checkout some of my other vids
Thank you for sharing!
your welcome ,please subscribe thanks
My dad started here in 1970, when it was still Kaiser Steel. He's still there today, he's a planner now. Used to work in the pipe mill, plate mill, etc etc etc... he's retiring at the end of this year now. He's been a steelworker my entire life. My grandpa was at Kaiser too. My uncle is still out there, too. My grandma was even a secretary out there in the late 60's. This mill fed and clothes my entire family.
My old leadman last name was Gates hes been working at CSI for a while
well it worked ok I have some other videos that show the welds. any welding questions?
Need to change the description of this video. The steel at CSI is NOT made in the USA.
please subscribe thanks
im a fitter welder by trade. do they employ ppl of that trade in places like this?
maybe they do have a lot of plumbing in the building, please subscribe thanks
He also told me about a time some fool got caught up in the spooler at the end of the line.
So was one of the early Nightmare On Elm Street movies. Scene shot between the two furnaces. My grandpa worked here. I got tour of it by him when I was 12. Coolest fucking thing ever!
@charlene1450 LOL! yeah it did cost a little more however I woud not recommend the miller jacket for heavy duty use all leather is better
@piggie7100 thanks, maybe I'll do a voice over narration next time. not really a welding lesson just showing the machines capabilites,
