Chi sao grappling drills
มุมมอง 81ปีที่แล้ว
Often times grappling is forgotten in wing chun. I feel that is a great mistake. In Full Circle Gung Fu we strive to be as well rounded as possible. It is important to train every range and cross train in other arts when possible and adapt techniques to your art.
Confident Warrior program basic trapping

The confident Warrior program at my school is for anyone who may need a little extra time or help learning a martial art. We do our best to help people with any learning ability learn an effective form of self defense and build confidence in their daily life
Shadow Boxing Form.

Just a simple flow of strikes to give the beginning student the ability to practice with both hands and help to jumpstart their own creativity. Foot work should be added after they get the pattern down.
SDCS street boxing/Front Hand education combo 1 and a variation
มุมมอง 612 ปีที่แล้ว
The Shaan Davis Combative Science system of martial arts blends together JKD, Filipino Martial Arts, Ninpo, Jujitsu and a variety of other styles together into a beautiful system of Martial Arts that are geared for street situations and self defense. This is the first “street boxing” combo we work on during our warm ups and for what we call front hand education. Enjoy!

When training in Emperors Long Fist you will learn the Tai Chi 36 Form (shown here) the Xing Yi 5 elements and 12 animals forms and Baqua Circle walking.

Trapping and grappling go hand in hand with each other. You can’t do a joint lock with out trapping a limb. Here are some examples of techniques we do.

Just for for historic accuracy. The closest link to any of the internal arts and Tai Zu is spurious record that some postures from the manuscripts are similar to ones used in Chen Tai Ji. Xing Yi originated from a mixture of Xin Yi Liu He Quan, Northern Mantis and Zha Quan. Ba gua was created by Dong Hai Quan and there is no record of the preceding style Dong Hai Quan trained before inventing Ba Gua. There is no accurate link amongst the three systems, especially to a common ancestral style, other than that they are chinese arts later deemed the internal family by Sun Lu Tang
Matthew Staley thank you for your input. I can only post what information was given to me so I do appreciate what you have shared in your comment. I have always wondered wether the “legend” that is passed down as history in E.L.F could be taken as accurate. It didn’t make sense to me given that there are multiple “history’s” for how all three systems came to be.
Good stuff, Casey!
Awesome!!! Keep it up 😄
