My name is Russ too and i was a barber for 45 years(now retired) there is a lot to be said about us old school barbers Quick short and cheap
L8
He's alive. He's my dad. Doing well.
Yo mr Amyx
Great trip!
1977 ROCKS!! Mr. Sherman was the best!! Did you ever get a "Black star" from Sherman? I did. What president is shown on the 50 dollar bill??
Oh, yah. I'm on the bottom right at :42 min. Nice job, Monkie!!
Thanks for the memories Tim. Nokaboo, (K.N.), Trig (M.T.), and the rest. Big smile!!
Amazing
I don't see Merritt Butrick's High School picture.
Yeah best kids 73!!! Jan Plymale Hodgson.
Mr Hoetger's first name is "Conrad", known to his colleagues as Connie.
What was Mr. Hoetger's first name? I'd like to see if he's around on the internet.
He's alive and well. I'm his son
Is there any way I could see the full footage from inside/outside the building? Uncut. I'm interested into the history of the Keyser building and would enjoy being able to see inside the old one.
Great guy - I had him for English and American History. Great teacher too. Can't say enough positive about him. :)
Weak
Quite authentic, indeed. Were I the student I would have appreciated support with regards to the direction I might best follow. Following earning my PhD at UC Berkeley, I found my grade sheets from Tam. Yikes! Not good by ANY standard. I got my degree with honors. Go figure! Hope everyone out there is thriving. I really enjoyed the Tam documentary I saw recently.
I love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for posting this interview of Mr. Sherman. When I think of Tam High back in 1973, I remember Mr. Sherman as one of my most influential teachers. He literally changed my way of learning as a student. His passionate recall of US History events, dates, people's names and their circumstance had me all ears. I asked to move my desk to the front row so I could see and hear more. There was nothing dull about Mr. Sherman's class. Awesome!
I, Tim Amyx, Tam high class of 1977, posted this interview of Mr Sherman. I had him as my US History teacher during my senior year, 1976 - 1977. He changed my life in all too many ways. Thanks to him I became not only interested in "history", but started to enjoy reading and studying. I eventually finished college and often thought of his class and his teaching methods. This video clip was from a 1987 interview I did with him, while producing a reunion video for our class 10 year reunion.
No Joke: run LONG on the weekends (12-18 miles each Sat, about 2-3 months leading up...) and, run lots of hills.....Try and run at least one "triple" (three Dipseas) a couple weeks before the race.
Happy 100th Dipsea Birthday! And A Giant Congratulations to Reilly Johnson!
nice spelling there bud :)
Mr. Sherman was a fantastic teacher and a real human being. He would break down when lecturing about the Civil War. Jan Class of 1973. Oh I got an "A"!
Shes my spanish teacher, and cross country coach!!! Lol
Let me guess, this is Tim Amyx Film Editor?! Have you won any other awards for editing lately?
this was an interview made in 1987... for an old Class reunion video. Mr Hoetger is alive and well, as of Winter 2008. He had the business building named after him in the late 1990's...
I remember Corillo. I also remember sitting in that class room typing in '86. Mr. Hoetger was way too cool. I wonder if he's still alive.
Bravo, todos tienen muy buena punteria, los felicito
Wow, great to see and hear Mr. Sherman. He was easily my favorite teacher during my 4 years at Tam. Thanks to whomever posted this video. Member, Class of 1976
Keep up the good work Tim!
OMG my dad had Mr. Sherman as a History teacher! did you know that he was related to general sherman!
This is really fun! Thank you for remembering Merritt Buttrick! See you tomorrow at the rehearsal. Cassandra Wiseman
