I taught in the North Bronx for 19 years. I’m retired now, but I subbed in the South Bronx the last three days of the school year. It was fun riding the trains again, and I put a picture on Facebook. Fascinating history with the fires in the 1970’s. I got off at Simpson St., which was once called “Fort Apache” by the police.
