What weight rating did you use for the shocks?

Has anyone installed this on a van or doesn’t it work because it’s not square?
$700 greedy much. It's only a few feet of steel. TH-cam has videos showing how to build these for under a hundred dollars.

What's the clearance height?
I need the best way to Mount this table system that I just bought
Nice design but the flaw is it does not drop low enough. Those shocks only have so much travel, and it is not enough. I need the bed to be at a normal bed height -- not a bunk bed height.

Do you need a backer
Its a great idea, but when you add the weight of a mattress, everything changes. Its a bear to lift into the "up" position. if you are not standing dead center and lifting, it gets "cockeyed" and you have to lower the thing and start over. It might work better with something like a 4" mattress pad that weighs next to nothing, but put a normal 10" mattress (Queen) on there, the entire dynamics change. Its still a good alternative to a $2500 happy jac, but its not as easy as this video makes it out to be.

Wow! What an ingenious, economical solution to what is normally a frustratingly complicated and brutally expensive problem. I will probably be contacting you guys in less than a year when I start my retirement build. 👍

Can you tell us the distance the bed is from the floor when in lowest position?
Hi Maurice, there are a couple of variables to take into account to figure that out. You'll need your overall ceiling height and the thickness of your mattress that you'll be using (this determines how far away from the ceiling you can set the system up). The overall height from the top of the channel guide to the buttom of the sleeping rails in our BDAS-2510 Sleep&Store is 36", when using a 4" mattress you will need to mount the system 2.5 inches from the ceiling to accommodate the roll up action of the system. So if your ceiling height was 86" the bed system in down position would be 86- 38.5(2.5+36) or 47.5" of clearance from the floor. On the website it is very unclear about whether the frame and mattress comes with it or do you have find & purchase that elsewhere?
Hi Seth, thank you for your question! We do not offer the bedframe or mattress at this time. Since there is a lot of differing widths among trailers we instead give details in our installation instructions on how to measure for a custom bedframe that would be specific to your trailer's width.
Please share more details about the sizes of gas struts and other mechanisms you have used

@@yuedh Thanks! Will definitely bookmark it now. Was looking at some DIY that is basically the same, but I don't know if I'd be able to do all the fabrication myself with limited tools. This looks like a nice complete system.
@@tonycarretti2872 Yes I am looking at it for the same reasons. I am not wanting to have all the pulleys and cables many have used. This one looks be be designed off of a YT video a guy did an awesome job on.
