Wow is the best word to describe these. I wouldn't have 'fun' racing them mind as they are too expensive for that in my book. So informed, the innovative design features could perhaps be rendered for cheaper mass production with tampo printed body shells and available spare mechanical parts? As well as sublime art work there is some innovative use of magnets and other technologies which could well benefit an upper mid range of slot cars.

Jimmy, the more I watched your interview.The more I realize I'm exactly like you. I mostly collect.. I don't own any sets, and I collect 1/32 scale and HO. I'm going to have somebody build me your track or another version of your track in my perfect spot.

I love Koford products, I purchased a group 7 wing car about 6 mos ago and there’s no tracks where I live or area. I would like info on where I can purchase a medium sized track for a small business and raceway, I’m retiring and love slot car racing all my life. ❤️‍🔥🏁

The only emphasis now in slot cars is speed. They aren't really models of cars , just objects that go insanely fast.No wonder its popularity is declining at commercial raceways.

Great interview. As a convert to brushless slot car motors I am really surprised by this interview. Coming from someone so innovative and having all the expertise and tooling to develop and produce brushless slot car motors - why wouldn't you just TRY IT. Stuart says they have a 300,000rpm brushless motor they sell to NASA and NASA only buys small lots - there is demand in the thousands from slot car racers. And the top level racers - like wing car racers will pay almost any price for the best. I can only believe that the issue is the need to protect intellectual property that could easily be copied. Please tell me I am wrong. There are Chinese 22Kv motors (260000rpm) that have at recent (non-wing) national events dominated strap motors.I suspect it’ll only be a matter of time until brushless motors dominate wing car racing. The Chinese motors are operating on the limit of the bearings, balance, cooling, and rotor design - all of which can be fixed. The stator, and winds are not the biggest issue - as in brushed motors, and the Chinese machine wound stators are high quality (yeah maybe they need better epoxy). They are a fraction of the cost of brush motors ($20 versus $400) and there are $27 speed controllers (we open sourced one aart.dev). So you can run a new motor every race. The slot car community is innovating its own solutions and I suspect in the same way Koford was born, small companies will grow out of this innovation. Koford would be wise to join this community and get involved...

Marco, I just want to say how much I appreciate your videos, especially Track Call. I raced in North America on commercial tracks as a teenager in the 70s, and have recently got back into the hobby/sport here in Central Europe racing on wood club tracks. I love the nostalgia as well as all the current more technical information such as your Race Winner videos. Well done!

I know Steve. We raced together in the same club in Connecticut. SMR. We called him mean Steve but he wasn’t mean at all. He is a great guy. He could tell you all of our nick names and why we got them. Wayne dog, Mongo, PPR Pete, The Doctor, Smokeio, Barefoot Andy and others. Mine is Bubba.
