Haven’t tried any really, but seemed pretty moddable. Steam workshop works for it and I’ve seen stuff from graphic changes to new gods, agents and mechanics.

That's because after switching to no health system, it's easy to go for public healthcare (because clergy now supports it), which gives better bonuses and doesn't boost clergy even more. Now granted, the execution in this campaign was probably far from ideal... But the plan itself is solid I think.

I'm not sure about that yet, I was thinking maybe doing another campaign with the same goal in the future, but with an extended timeline mod to give me a bit more time for conversions. Small spoiler, I think this campaign is really about to speed up. :) With plenty of entertaining bumps along the road of course.

And here I thought I can't whistle! Jokes aside, I know there's a lot of bad things that could be said about my sound quality, though I didn't expect whistling to be one of them... Do you maybe mean how I pronounce "S" sounds sometimes? Anyways, I was due for redoing the mic setup. Think you could do me a favour and check if the newest video (session 13) still has that problem?

@@ByzanticVODs I checked sessions 13, and yeah, it's still doing it. Go at 0:24 and listen to what happens shortly after. It sounds like running shoes on the floor of a highschool gym. I like your videos otherwise, but these constant sounds make them unwatchable for me.

@@Ilya18 Actually now that I listen to the whole episode I realise the sound quality got way worse overall, goddamit. The benefit is I think it amplified the whistling you noticed and now I hear it in the other videos too. I have a suspition what's causing it: I have quite a bit of background noise going on, so I use a noise suppression filter (RNNoise). I think those sounds might be bits of noise my fans (the ones that cool the PC, though my TH-cam fans are also cool) make that sneak in while I talk. For the next recording, so from session 15, I will try a different noise suppresion method or maybe (gasp) try recording without it and dealing with background noise in some other way. Still it might take a few recordings to get right. Thanks for letting me know, I'll need to find a way to fix it. Hopefully you'll come back to watch then, maybe next campaign. :)

Well, technically either that or the end date. Obviously, it seems it's going to be the second option. Though now that you mention it, maybe it would be cool to replay this challenge or some variation with some kind of extended timeline mod.

I was looking mostly at Lybia for my oil needs, but probably you can almost never have enough oil. Now that you mention it though, going for Arabia should be much higher on the list of priorities, considering the goal of the campaign...

With God's help everything is possible... But really it is there, not nearly as much as major producers like Russia or USA or even Austria, but it's something.

Some times I join, some times I don't. There was a lot of people on either side so probably would be quite noisy, but honestly mostly just wanted to continue hanging out in quiter voice chat.

Relations can lead to funny stuff. In this MP game Austria and Prussia had so good relations, if you took the save and let AI take over, Austria would instantly join Prussia to form German Empire together...

That is actually useful! Now if next tip could be about changing orders to all generals in an army at once would be ideal.

Yeah it does seem at least somewhat RNG dependent. I'm curious how high I can make it go, I suspect expanding customs union to steal pops from other nations is going to be also very important.

Stil the victory was sweet

I was still holding on, hoping maybe I can get Trade Unions into power before I start elections, because after that it's going to be a serious pain. But I might have to give up honestly, I don't think I can get them more power without much more literacy, and raising that is a bit of a pain.

I've been thinking about relaxing border controls, just the Rural Folks were a bit too pissed (though in the end it turned out they deal with their anger quite well). Voting laws would definitely be nice, but I worry that if I go for it while Trade Unions are not influential they will stay down (because they wouldn't get votes in elections). Maybe I'll try going into oligarchy or technocracy first and see how things go?

That will certainly be a priority! Internally it's the biggest problem right now. The issue is, even if they don't revolt, the landowners will oppose it, in government or not. That means almost 50% for stall and if you've seen the Spain game you know I don't do well with such chances... You might be right though that maybe I should just go for it, since it's giving so much clout to landowners my chances might not be getting much better.

I'm pretty sure bigger nations never accept offers to become puppets. Not that I feel confident fighting great powers... for now. Also it's all part of my ploy to prevent WW2 (might change some other things along the way)(might end up starting more wars).

Possibly. Might not be a bad idea honestly, since I don't really understand how economies with such huge populations work. What do you think should be a goal for a China game though?

@13lakhand becoming a republic or communist but the main goal is to industrialise and becoming the number 1 great power and you really don't need conquer all that stuff china only lacks rubber and oil also you can annex Tibet and Korea by reducing their autonomy but don't annex in the early game

​@@bbrruuhhhhh19It seems to me industrialising on its own shouldn't be that difficult... But then again I thought Ottomans should be doable without conquering Syria. When it comes to resources, during our last multiplayer game we realised India has such a density of population that they have nowhere close enough basic resources like iron or wood for their fully built up industry. I wonder how would Qing look like, they are quite a bit different since they start in their own market too. I probably should play Qing, yeah.

I was wondering about heavily editing this session or even not putting it up at all, there were a lot of bad discussions and arguing. I decided to just put it up since usually only players watch those vods (TH-cam algorythm punished my hubris it seems). I am still unsure what to do when a strange conversation gets rolling, perhaps I should get better at steering it away from weird subjects. Luckily I think after reaching the bottom in this one later sessions (so after the December break) had less awkward discussions coming up.
