This must only work with the add on ford remote start. If you do this with a newer ford with factory start built into the one fob you are not able to access any menu systems to turn off mykey.

When I try this. My screen just says "remote start" and I'm unable to go to the settings or anything until I put my key in the ignition and the option to "clear my key" never comes up.

Just a quick note of thanks for taking the time. I have a 2011 Ford Escape, which takes the same type key + FOB. Your instructions on process from start to finish were clear and easy to understand. As such, I was able to remove the highly-annoying speed limit and clear ALL mykey from memory. If someone else is experiencing this frustration, I will refer them to your video. THANK YOU - Fred

That isnt a "stock"remote starter. This as an aftermarket pursuit/prestige that was installed AT the dealer prior to you buying the car. This is not the same as an OEM/stock remote start that is built into the car during assembly
