In this tense K1 match at Baltic Open in Tallinn, Big Brother (red corner) faced a strong opponent who started attacking relentlessly from the very first seconds. However, Big Brother had a proverbial ace in his sleeve and used it very wisely. We thank our opponent for a gracious fight.

Here, Second Brother (blue corner) was fighting for the sixth (!) time with his favorite opponent. Here, our fighter had won decisively, with a definitive advantage. Notice that he missed many lowkicks; this was the price to pay for attempts to counter lowkicks with punches, which, however, did not work out as intended this time.

During this year, Second Brother fights in the age division in which fights are supposed to be evaluated not by actual fighting performance, i.e. by domination in terms of successful strikes, but by "technical rules", whatever this means. Although Second Brother (blue corner) was undoubtedly superior in this match, the judges decided that the result was "non-decisive", in other words a draw.

This is his old adversary, it is their fourth match, the first two concluding to our advantage 2:1, while the third was our loss 1:2 (there was just one round). While I appreciate your concern, I cannot agree with your conclusion. Firstly, nobody forces the boys to fight. They love it, they train voluntarily and enjoy winning. Many come to clubs to train but only those who stay and are willing to fight get on the tatami or in the ring. Secondly, their weight is too low to inflict injuries to the brain. They are protected by equipment (gloves, shin guards and helmet) that lowers impacts several-fold. Thirdly, one cannot truly become a man without prevailing over their peers in this kind of imitation of real combat. The taste of victory in such tightly controlled fight is overwhelming for the boys.
