“I had all, then most of you, some and now none of you” hits me like a truck every time. I wish she and I had more time. Even now, I’m still lost. I know it’s cheesy, but I was able to find all the answers when I had her. Losing her felt like I lost half of me. I want comfort, but I end up closing myself off, pushing people away. I take myself back to the night she and I met, every damn night and it hurts, knowing I’ll wake up tomorrow and not see her. She was my emergency hotline, didn’t want to hang up. Time is brutal, there’s a lesson to be learned. I’m still trying to understand the lesson.

Depression can come and go. It can be treated many ways. This, I know from a lifetime of experience. I’m LOST! I don’t know who I am anymore. I was once clear sighted. Knew what I wanted/needed and was relentless in obtaining it. For me, Loss is pursuing something, not even knowing what it is or where you lost it. Depression is definitely partner’s with Loss. Loss has left me empty.

Lost my parents…. Lost the love of my life…… lost my pets…. Lost myself. I lost everything to this world. An upstanding business making good money isn’t what I ever wanted. I just wanted a nice family. But those dreams can never come true. Every evening I come home thinking I have enough to put food on the table, but no one to finish it. I light a cigarette and turn this song on and lose myself to the nights yet again. I just hope someday I’ll sleep knowing I’d either wake up to the gates of heaven or I’d have heaven in my house.
