As bok supporter that was a tough watch. The first 12 mins was sublime..then huh??? I do think it was a jet lag issue. Never seen a bok team this off the mark. At least not in the Rassie era. Mist oeople dontcrealise but we are in a building phase also. Not replacing stars but adding depth and also new defense and attacking plays. It had to happen that we drop tye occasional one. Mannie could have won it despite everything... so disappointing to drop that. Well done to Argentina, you deserved that win.

Ireland and Leinster fan here. Despite some of the online banter I have to say the South African sides joining us up north has been amazing. It gives a diversity of culture and playing styles that no other competition has. It has made both our provincial and national teams better. There are still some problems that need to be worked on for example the traveling situation but the positives far out way the negatives.

In your recent segment “round the outside“ you were pretty complimentary about the boks’ outside backs. You may recall I thought you had been over generous and that the Irish and all Blacks had found us wanting in the wider channels on a number of occasions. Well on Saturday, the Argentinians did exactly the same after quickly adapting both their attack and their defence, to their credit and generally carved us up and made us look foolish. Would love you to do a similar segment on the shortcomings in the bok defence as I believe this needs much greater attention and I think if it is brought to brought up by channels like your own it’ll be a good wake up call. I have been writing about this for months but don’t see any response from the Bok coaches. Would value your thoughts.
