Hi, welcome to the channel
Here most of the things shown are absolutely for free (the most environmentally caring thing)
And do not replicate/do anything of which you are not absolutely sure of understanding and knowing the respective dangers. I don’t assume any responsibility for any of your actions but I’m not discouraging you from experimenting. (Experimenting is the best way to learn)

What transformer are you using?
A crt tv whole circuit board with it’s flyback transformer

Special Thanks, since you already made one is it efficient? Like does The transistor gets really hot or can you power it for long period like 2 minutes without any component burning?
@killzoldek6147 It can stay ON for a maximum of 1 minute. A tesla coil like this size is really the most you can make with 2 simple transistors.
@@jlprojects1259 the transistor gets hot right? If Soo I'm gonna use a grater power capacity transistor
@@killzoldek6147 try it and let me know 👍
That means all the oil evaporatorated into gas and set on parts damaging parts and might have caused blockage to the filter and or tube as well. So it's overheating that's why it comes out smoke
Is that efficient?
jesus imagine touching this would kill you in a millisecond 😅
That’s a suicide gun
So basically, you have 4 1-to-8 ratio MOTs hooked in series?
I don’t understand what you mean by “1to8 ratio” if you could explain better. But it’s not exactly a simple series. At the end of the video is a simplified schematic. Thanks for watching
@@jlprojects1259 1-to-8 ratio means they step up the input voltage by 8 times (in this case, 240 to almost 2000 volts)
Oh you meant just that simply. but it’s actually more like 1-9 because some of the transformers are 220v input
@@jlprojects1259 Ah yeah, that makes more sense

I need to do this with a giant 32" CRT which has two knackered electron guns (red and green). I do worry though that the release of the stress on the glass envelope might cause it to shatter? .. there's no way I can carry this thing down 2 steep flights of stairs intact these days.
Hi, What do you mean by “release of the stress on the glass envelope” I have done it on a 29” Sony trinitron recently and had no problems at all I hope the video was useful.
@@jlprojects1259 Thanks for the reassurance. I've got to break the thing up anyway to get the thing out was just worried about possiblw consequences of in effect relieving several tons of pressure in a relatively short time on what I may have wrongly assumed to be a pre-stressed envelope.
@@jlprojects1259 Sorry for such a late response (been busy). What I was referring to is that in my (probably very inaccurate) estimation, there are currently approximately 25 tons of atmospheric pressure on the outside of the glass envelope. If that were to be balanced too suddenly, I'd worry about the subsequent flexing causing the envelope to crack, potentially violently. I guess a slow equalization of pressure should b erelatively safe though.
@@BG101UK That’s right there’s a huge pressure but if you let it in just from the tiny hole under the cap nothing will happen since the surface is tiny. If you were to break the glass it would be really violent.
There is no serious information in this video.
...But why would you want to ruin a perfectly working CRT? And no, I don't mean the entire chassis, I mean the Cathode Ray Tube itself.
To throw it away, and remove the vacuum to prevent someone to accidentally make it implode when being “recycled”. Later I actually broke the glass and took the mesh out as well as the electron gun (just out of curiosity).
Was the liquid moving during charging or discharging?
I think it actually is just the oil layer reacting to the high voltage.
can you do a frontview video???
Hi, f it was filmed from the front the cones movement wouldn’t be so visible. But sure if you want, have a nice day.
