Stand on mowers are garbage. Usually the drivers are hotrodding and pivoting turns tearing up the grass. Plus the riders weight pushes the tires in and makes ruts. Walk behind mowers with velkie attachments like jungle wheels are miles better.

remember that Cub Cadet steering wheel zero turns are also good, with the idea of having 4 wheel steering and can go on hillsides easier and are easier to operate, knowing that there is no lap bars, and doesnt have such a tank like feeling and everyone knows how to use a steering wheel.

I have owned 2 front deck Kubotas and now a zero turn Kubota. All commercial models, diesel, extremely well built and dependable. Plus they are a lot cheaper than some of the other bigs brands. If you put them next to any of the others it’s a no brainer. I also own a John Deere 1600 Turbo wide area mower. Good mower but if Kubota made one comparable in cutting width to it I would buy it.

I used to like exmark staris mowers, but they since did away with the model. Otherwise I really like the wright mowers. Never cared for Scag, Toro, Gravely, John Deere, and Hustler stand on.

I owned a IS600Z Ferris , got rid of it at 550 hours , both 3400 series Hydro-Gear transaxles had yo be replaced , junk drive system !

You want to see longevity? Look at public school districts that have immaculate administration building greenery, multiple large campuses with smooth well kept lawns, practice and gaming fields, and playgrounds but also including large rough areas around service buildings and along roads with bahiagrass, red clay, and iron ore rocks in the Texas heat where it's mowed with a fleet of mowers daily, year round wet or dry. Kubota diesels, every mower we own. They just keep working year after year, period.

I had a gravely and loved it was underpowered though only had an 18 hp engine and that’s all I could get. I sold it and bought the Scag v ride 11 and I can’t stand it. It’s uncomfortable. The controls are five times harder to squeeze than the gravely. The springs are way too strong or something. The gravely had nice hydraulic like controls. If you let go quickly, the controls would come back slowly you let go of the Scagg controls by accident, and it will throw you right off the machine stops instantly it doesn’t handle inclines as well. Tears up the lawn on anything that has a slight incline. The only thing this Mower does and does well is cut. It has a 38 hp engine and goes through anything. I’m on my second summer with it and want to get rid of it. I hate it that much going to look at the Ferris models, there is a dealer 45 minutes away from me hopefully they take trades. The gravely also has a great stance. Your whole body could lean right into that pad the Scagg it’s like you’re downhill skiing. Your knees are the only thing that hit the pad. The pad is way too far forward on the top part. it’s just an uncomfortable machine, very disappointed from all the videos I watched and high praise that the v ride 11 got

We have a bad boy mowers with a 72" cut and cut are five acers in a few hours. The ride is great, and fuel uses are also better than some of the other mowers we had for our five acers.

Two years ago I purchased a HUSTLER "Raptor". I regret it. The Kawasaki FV600 engine is very loud. I had to buy a pump to drain the oil because the drain on the engine is positioned right on the mounting deck. No way to catch it. Oil will spill oil everywhere. The dealer gave me a piece of tubing to use to divert the flow. The fuel tank is odd in that it will show full and then drain down. I usually add another gallon after the initial "full". It has a 42" 2- blade deck. I use it to mow 1 acre St Augustine grass. I mow at least weekly. The deck is terrible. The blades leave a narrow 'row' of grass even in straight runs, much less tight turns. During heavy growth, the engine cannot handle the load (cut height 3"). It will bog down. IF I do not disengage the deck the engine will die. I did have the dealer install a mulching kit. I have cleaned the underside of the deck with no improvement. When in operation or running free, the arms are off set. No longer side by side. The dealer says they have adjusted as much a s possible. Anymore they start replacing parts. It has <100 hours use. Never again.

A walk behind with a sulky is stand on ! I run nothing but walk behinds ! Easy to repair compared to a stander ! I a walk behind fan ! I did not say push mower ! I do not run any pushmowers !

I have both walk behind & riding mower I barely use walk behind especially under Texas heat i only use it to make a straight line between my property and ny neighbors and to get to tighter areas I can’t drive in.
