Hanging out in the garden on a beautiful day…
Hi Natalie, your video popped up on my feed. I really enjoyed it and subbed. Also, happy birthday! Love it that you're enjoying a glass of wine in the garden, doesn't get any better! 😊What area are you in? I garden in Ohio and my garden is pretty much done for the year. Not doing any fall or winter growing this year. Thanks for sharing your garden! ❤Angela
@@TheWoodlandGardener Hi Angela and thank you !!! I garden in Southern California. Welcome to the channel and thanks so much for watching. I would miss the garden in winter!!
@@mygardenandme3545 I do miss it but these last couple years, seems more like I've been just glad to have a break from it, lol! I"m planning to scale back next year, keep it smaller and really focus on improving my soil and infrastructure. The few plants I will grow, I'll be able to give more TLC to.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATALIE!!! 🌱🌷🌼🌻🪴
@@wandagreen243 Thank you!!!!
Beautiful garden. Love the closeup of the hummingbird 💚👨🏿🌾
Thank you!!!
Cute doggie 🐶. Yes time to get the garlic in. Got mine in last week. Thank you for sharing and happy gardening 👨🏿🌾
Thank you for watching
Yes it's time to get the garlic in. Your dog is so adorable. Thanks for sharing 😊
I'm from Southern Ca, in Maryland now. The garden is my therapy also, many life revelations go through my head when out there. Keep smiling, your channel is appreciated.
@@rvbliss thank you and thx for watching
You had a very nice harvest. Thanks for sharing your garden with us. Keep growing that food. Happy gardening 😊
Woohoo beans! 🎉 Great harvest ❤
Your onions and green beans are beautiful! 🌱🧅
NIce green bean bed. Did a great job on those onions. Peppers hate me lately even the store ones died on me lol, tfs

Yessss
Good Job!!! Keep up the good work!!!
The garden tour is appreciated. You have a harvest and that’s a blessing.
Beautiful ❤ it’s so exciting and it never gets old.
Good morning and thanks for sharing.
No worries Natalie We are all struggling with the critters and the weather. You will get it done. Have a great day
Your garden is beautiful! Keep smiling girl!
lovely harvest🙏
❤💝
Natalie stay encouraged. You are doing a great job. I was reading about what scents squirrels hate and it said coffee grounds, peppermint oil, black pepper, and vinegar. Wow, the bread is going too far. Unfortunately the green eyed monster is real. Get you some cameras so can catch the monster in the act. You and your garden are very resilient and inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
My garden makes me feel the same way. I’ve never been a morning person. But I find myself in my garden bright and early. New subbie here
All my tomatoes are a mystery at this point. I am out here with no labels😂

Your onion harvest looks great. Any tips and tricks on those?
Honestly fertilize on a schedule if you can and consistent watering. Those things are heavy feeders and they are thirsty. Good luck in the garden. Thank you for subbing!
@@mygardenandme3545 I have a very small garden channel if you want to check it out as well. Thanks for sharing
I'm excited for you.
Yes Natalie, what's better in the beautiful mornings than setting in your garden with tea or coffee admiring all the hard work you've done and seeing how its growing. It's so peaceful and good for our souls. Do you have any Butterfly bushes? My neighbor has one with purple tiny blossoms that smell like lilacs. I'm sure it isnt a lilac bush but may be lavender I'm not sure. I'm going to get me one. I enjoy seeing the butterflies. Enjoy your weekend! 🌹
I feel bad things are eating some of your plants but alot of your plants look great! I wonder how you can get rid of the ones eating stuff. Do you have a County Extension Office? If so maybe they would know but dont know if they can with organic gardening. What's your secret for keeping the weeds out besides hand weeding? Thanks. I enjoy watching you.😊
Those onions are beautiful! I know you are doing all the harvesting but I enjoy watching how much you get no matter how long your video is 😊. Last time I had a garden I was surprised how many potatoes I harvested. I had 12 sweet potato plants and harvested alot from both. I'd never done sweet potatoes before. I was so excited because I didnt do anything special but water them. 😂. I'm looking for more of your videos as I just found you recently! 🌹
I use the same coverings to cover my tender plants.
Those onions look awesome! You need a carmera out in your garden to see what is chewing on your plants. My guess is Rabbits and yes they can jump into those beds. Look into getting some organic deer/rabbit repellent or go on you tube and make your own. A mix of milk, garlic and raw egg mixed together with water and placed in a spray bottle helps deter them. Those little tiny red potatoes you can put back into the ground to grow more for a fall crop.
Wow those onions looks amazing sorry about the potatoes you’re still during great
That's sucks, did you find out what was eating them? I had was to harvest mine early too because some animals were eating them.
The squirrels went to town with my peppers. Who knew they even ate peppers. They even ate my hot peppers
Beautiful garden. Try using Sluggo Plus in your garden to help control the Rollie Pollie bugs
@@ikindred thank you.
Beautiful garden! I think I enjoyed the music just as much as the tour. LOLOL
@@paulettemayfield8171 that makes me happy! Thank you
It's always a refreshing feeling after a clean up.
@@growingmyown it so is!! Can’t wait for when I’m done and it looks the way I have imagined it for a while now. Thank you for watching
My tomato blossoms fell out too… we have been getting a ton of rain so the flowers have no chance to dry.
@@tangocat4370 oh no. That sucks. I so understand. You have the opposite problem. I have too much heat and you too much rain.
Beautiful garden ❤❤
Good work 😊
I use cinnamon or all purpose flour to help with the bugs.
@@SeededandRooted I will try that! Thank you
Those rooley pooly are little demons in the garden... always seen them on the ground but never on the plant.
@@growingmyown I know right
Girl those onions look awesome nice size.
What kind of raised bed do you have your plants in and did yo get them at a farm store?
Hi there! Welcome. I got my raised beds off Amazon. The rectangular ones I got them as a pair. Tried to find them and they are not available. Here is the link for the round ones

@@mygardenandme3545 thank you so much
I am so jealous of your onion harvest. I love onions and eat them and cook with them everyday. Did you plant those with seeds, sets or plants?
I planted these from sets that I got from dixondale farm
@@mygardenandme3545 thank you for the information
Hey there from Kansas! This is my 1st time here. I was scrolling and you came up on youtube and I'm so glad. I understand your frustration about plants getting destroyed after all your hard work.
Hi there Kansas. Thanks for stopping by
Do you not make your own compost using your chicken poo, grass clippings, leaves, sticks, twigs? Mulching your garden beds so no bare soil is exposed will help retain moisture in the beds and allow the worms to come into your garden. As for squirrels we set out traps as well as have all gardens surrounded with 1/4 inch hardware cloth. the hardware cloth is dug into the ground about a foot so the squirrels can't dig in. It also keeps out rabbits and chipmunks. Squirrels don't usually eat the plants, rather just dig holes in the ground to bury nuts. Rabbits will eat the plants. I always wait until the neck of the onion plant flops over and then pull them. Nice onion hall. Chop the green tops and freeze for making soups or stir fries.
Thanks for the tips! Much appreciated. These squirrels are on another level!! I have sat out there and watched. Crazy little creatures
