how did it hold up i want to buy one since i need something that can fit in the trunk
My only issue has been one of the front footstraps anchor points toward the outside rail pulled away from the board. It still works great as a light wind cruser or teaching platform. People love riding it because it is so stable and boyant.
@@midwestwindsnob527 thanks
I for one am very pleased this video did not have the terrible music of all the obxwind videos
You definitely saw him off!
Very Cool, is that the slingwing V2?
Indeed, it is. Only wing I own :)
Send it! 🤙
I'm considering this for teaching my kids. I do have a Prodigy already that I have been using and that is awesome. They are hard to find though. This is attractive for portability/storage. I'm definitely interested as long as it performs decent/can actually plane. The gap on the dagger does look like it really kills performance - have you got it to line up any better so that gap isn't there?
I like everything about this board except how much of a gap there is either in front or behind that centerboard insert. It's locked in there nice and snug side to side. It probably needs to be a little short so you can actually get it in the board. I did fashion both a top and bottom plate of 1x pine and that seals things up and helps the planeing a lot. You may want to look at the largest size that just uses the screw on center fin as a higher performance alternative.
@@midwestwindsnob527 Thanks for the reply/info. I will keep this in mind. It would definitely do the trick as a learner board - a bit more portable. And less likey to ding up than a hard board.
So awesome man! Your knowledge of this stuff is so vast. Really cool video. You were really getting speed there at the end!
Thanks. I love it! Like floating on water :)
I'm not much for going out in the cold, but I glad to watch some that do.
Nice. Didn't expect the Crocs 😂
Not many do 😜
Yah not the ideal setup, but was giving it all I could :)
And you're doing that on your freestyle board. 👀 Nice! You were catching them on your jibes. 🤙
What the hell is he doing
Talkin like a jibe turky!
Lovely 💐💐💐
Left the center finbox out, in place I used a block of poly styreine closed cell foam sandwiched between two pieces of 3/4 inch clear pine. One plank for top and one on bottom of board. Thru bolted foam to make a sandwitch. Then with a stick on foil track box mounted to that contraption. It was a fun project. I should do video on that. I now have a fanatic stingray 115ltd that you can see me using in other videos that is a much better foiling platorm.
Awesome! How did you manage to attach Foil to the board and get rid of the daggerboard? I have the same 290 Airplane Starboard. Thx
Smooth
Cool. What wind-strength? And what kind of a board?
Free skate is the name on the board. I would say it was blowing about 15 mph.
Great footage. I have a wing on the way from Germany and bought special irons (gliders?) from Sweden to fix skiboots on. So far we have lots of snow here in Estonia so only on skis it's possible to play with the wing. But looks like a more softer period is coming and perhaps after that we will have good ice conditions. Enjoy the winter!
Thanks. I would like to try the wing with skis. I tried it with my snowboard once. It was in need of wax and was way too sticky. Hope you get some slick conditions over there. :)
