Quick Heavy Bag Drill for Your Muay Thai Low Kick
In this simple Heavy Bag drill we hone in and focus on drilling simple boxing combinations followed by the low kick. The bread and butter combo for low kicks is the Jab-Cross-Lead Hook-Low Kick. By building from a single punch into the full 3 punch combination allows you to calibrate your balance from throwing your hands to your power low kick. This is also a great tool to use as a conditioning tool as you want to throw each shot with power and balance.

Jonathan Haggerty Muay Thai Inspired Footwork/Setups
มุมมอง 3.5K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this class we put focus on using footwork inspired by Jonathan Haggerty. At the time of class Haggerty is the ONE Championship Bantamweight Champion in Muay Thai and Kickboxing champion. His solid fundamentals with classic Muay Thai techniques paired with his unorthodox approaches to his footwork allows him to setup a wide range of offensive techniques with his switch-hitting style. FOOTWORK...
Muay Thai Elbows: Basics, Hand Traps, Setups and Counter Techniques!
มุมมอง 3.3K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video we break down using the Muay Thai elbows. Basics: Focusing on basic footwork to close the distance to land the elbows from the Jab Cross and the Double Jab. Setups and Hand Traps: Here we wanted to focus on the use of Hand Traps to land the elbows instead of trying to just throw them blindly. The feeling of controlling an opponents hands/guard and manipulating them in order to con...
Quick Muay Thai Defense and Counter to a Caught Kick
มุมมอง 1.4K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this class clip, we were working on one simple defense when your Roundhouse kick gets caught by an opponent. The easiest counter is to simply pull the caught leg from the grip if the opponent is being lazy and not grasping tightly. If the opponent is clasping down hard, slide the leg to position your foot and heel along the opponents ribcage or hip and Push Kick/Teep the opponent off. IF the...
Low Kicks for Offense and Defense w/ a BONUS Counter
มุมมอง 7K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video we worked on using forward footwork paired with a Bruce Lee inspired Jab/Backfist followed by inside low Kicks and outside power low kicks. OFFENSE: When using this particular combo offensively we use the fast backfist/jab to direct attention to the hands to pull focus away from the incoming Inside LOW KICK. Following up with hard CROSS and finishing with a hard outside Power LOW ...
Using Step Fakes With Your Offensive Footwork and Defensive Muay Thai Stance
มุมมอง 8K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video we focused on using a quick aggressive step fake to draw a reaction for both OFFENSE and DEFENSE tactics. OFFENSE: Using the step/body fake to create a reaction from our opponent to engage our quick and stuttering footwork paired with a fake jab to close the distance quickly and to open potential holes in your opponent's defensive response with various combination options. DEFENSE...
Using Feints off the Switch/Power Round Kick to Setup Your Offense

Using Feints off the Switch/Power Round Kick to Setup Your Offense
can this also be used to setup a left knee? thats how i always read it as
MMA stance and Muay Thai stance is different.
great video
Also because in the boxing stance you wont be quick enough to check a leg kick to the back of the lead leg thigh. Youll have to turn and check which is too slow
This is a good tip
Not is ilegal the calf kick in muay thai?
its legal its just riskier to throw since its easier to check
Almost snapped his knee out
Heh I will do this (Boxing Match)
Let me know how it goes!! 🙏
Can’t believe this information is free I love you ❤️
Sauce 🥘 everytime
Hi man, thanks for the content first of all. Could you explain the changes of rhythm? I've been doing muay thai for about a year and I know a very basic rhythm that I think is predictable. Not like Tawanchai 🤣
Hey! thanks for the love! I like to compare striking rhythm to music. So your basic rhythm for like a Jab-Cross-Hook-Low Kick would be "1 and 2 and 3 and 4." Start changing it around to half beats, so start throwing on the "ands". So "1(Jab) and(Cross) 3(Hook) and Low Kick" Or add quick pauses/breaks in the rhythm. "1 and 2 --Quick Pause-- 3 and 4." Hopefully that's easy to understand reading it 😂
@@KMT_SFV thank you a lot

Thank You!
Amazing videos, keep it going. Could you do one about how to fight against a long guard? I was sparring with a oponent who use it against me and i didnt know what to do. Thanks!
🙏🙏🙏 Thank You! Will Definitely get that going for another video!
This is great drill for Muay Thai, and especially good for Muay Matt style fighters. Bread and butter.
yessir! 🙏🙏
Very cool! What do you think of alternating 1-2-switchkick and 2-3-kick the whole round?
Of Course! Focused bagwork for any combination is great to do. This example is solely focusing on just Low Kick combinations for those that want to drill that specific technique. I myself will use different rounds to focus different combos/techniques/styles
@@KMT_SFV great video, very informative 🥊
@@IzzySharkawy thank you! 🙏🙏

Great lesson arjan. Thank you!
I'm try it out on pads thanks
Liked & subbed
How do you argue this against one of the boran stances thats low and kind of bladed?
The modern Muay Thai stance is geared towards the ruleset of the sport. Muay Boran's deeper stronger stance makes sense for a lower center a gravity and stronger base that would allow to defend against throws and grappling techniques that are legal in Muay Boran but illegal in the rules in Muay Thai.
@@KMT_SFV understood, cause I use my boxing base../stance mix it in with muay to get the og muay brown stance in MMA. But this makes sense via muay Thai ruleset
@@afrorevolution6125 Yeah within the ruleset of Muay Thai, there is no threat of takedowns so the light lead leg and staying square makes sense defensively. I tell my students all the time that if they want to transition into MMA that the stance needs to be adjusted to for the ruleset of MMA or they are going to have a harder time defending the take downs and wrestling. Thanks for the discussion! Cheers!
Thank you Coach Good work 🙏
Okay... that was nice
Holy bunions
😂😂😂 Yeah unfortunately I've had it since I was a kid! Luckily they don't hurt or affect my ability to train.
This is some solid stuff no fancy bs
Thank you!! 🙏🙏
One of the most useful Muay Thai vids I’ve seen in awhile. Props 🙌

Thank you for your valuable content
🙏🙏 Thank you!
Great technique. Thanks
wait but why is green shorts guy kinda cute 😳
🤣🤣 I'll be sure to pass the compliment to him 😂
It's all about that side step. I'm working on getting that arm up, with control of the head. Only works on newbies apparently. The other option is go for clinch with the single arm, if the crossface don't work, that is. That's my move for a couple weeks
The Step is essential! it's definitely easier to lock in on people not as comfortable in the clinch. With more veteran clinchers, you at least will be putting them on defense to counter the cross face while you either score knees or work towards the next favorable position for yourself! Cheers!
@@KMT_SFV Hell yes. I'm stoked that it finally clicked.
@@Damin-Danger-Ledford nice man!!!
I was confused by the style of kicks until the partner work at the end. Looks great 🙏🏻
Looking to get work at home, my wife is going to study these videos with me to help me practice! Great work kru. Good video format. Follow along style! Just like my classes, many thanks for this
Thank You ! 🙏🙏🙏
This could be a possible counter to grapplers in mma going for inside/outside trips, like from a transitory position.
Just discovered your channel, you have legit Muay thai knowledge. I've seen lots of "muay thai" coaches or "Krus" giving watered down knowledge
🙏🙏🙏 Appreciate the kind words!
Great just what i needed

This channel is top notch
Thank You!! Appreciate it!
@@KMT_SFVDoes a kick to the liver hurt just as much as a hook or upper to the liver?
@@charlesjohnson2777 it definitely does😂 especially from a proficient and accurate kicker that can sneak the blade of their shin under that rib to really crack the liver.
