Sure, where is the proof of your claims? In the daily newspapers? I assume you are aware that people cannot afford food, pay their bills? That more and more young people get depressed? That we have a healthcare system that is at its tipping point, with a severe lack of knowledge? That Norwegian companies/investors are fleeing Norway? I advice you to get your facts straight and explain your opinions. Besides, all the fscts are taken from documentation, Norwegian documentation, its not random stuff. So by all means, point out exactly what you refer to, and provide evidence that what your are claiming is true.

@@uncover_with_Dawn Ehh you don't know your claims, though Norway has high taxes they make up for it with good salaries, Norway has consistently ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world with one of the lowest poor people, and people can afford food and pay their bills. Those are temporary stuff that some norwegian people can't afford food and pay bills cus some of them are immigrants who hasn't figured out things yet. But a typical norwegian citizen has proper facilities, can afford to buy food and pay bills, you ain't from Norway to prove your claims but I am. Don't give flase reports about my country.

One of the main problem is that we have a very high GDP, but its not relevant as the government dosent spend it at its citizens. At least not to the amount what is nessecary. Immigration.. Norwegians dosent move that easily. Going where? To the north? I admire those who live in the north and can handle it. Are you aware a out the climate conditions? And if moving from the cities to smaller places, how should one get the nessecary healthcare services? Norway is not like the U.S, we have a topography and a climate that complicates it all. The problems overall is that Norway does have the money to adjust the course, but that dosent mean the the government will do so. Why do you think those who run the country care/have insight to solve the problems?

Exactly, you are not a Norwegian. So, how can you possibly know whats going on? Just because we can do something dosent mean we will do it, at all. We are already exporting and import, but that dosent solve the problems.

How can it be wrong to choose a president who will rule the country nationally based on the candidate who actually gets the most votes nationally? I understand that many are afraid that small states will have less say. But surely these election commissioners can be elected as they have always done? Why should they decide who will be president? It is the people who should decide. I understand that the United States is based on states, which have their own laws, etc. But if the electorate system is maintained as it is today, then no small state will lose its vote any more or less than it is today. Of course, the current system is rooted in the Constitution etc. But it would have been nice to have a debate where the choice of a national job is decided nationally, and perhaps not state-wise.

I feel people think this way b/c they think it'll fix whatever problem they have with trump or harris or their voters, yet any problem would still exist. Its not like Democrats are winning Texas, but they want to cry about how they could get more votes from New York if they did away with the electoral college. Maybe y'all should fix ur problems instead of finding ways to shut eachother down or create further divisive discussions. There is a difference between electing someone to a national position, where the state you are from shouldn't matter for the outcome. Of course, people will want to change the system for political reasons; politics is about more than just the individuals running for office. As long as people can vote without their state's influence being a factor, it won't matter if it's New York, and therefore the claim that it's only Democrats who want to change it in their favor or Republicans who want to do the same becomes irrelevant. The political polarization is enormous, and I don't understand how this polarization contributes to a fairer society overall. All parties have their issues; that's true for everyone, but that doesn't mean the electoral system shouldn't be discussed. Whether changing it can solve the underlying problems in American politics-or any politics, for that matter-is perhaps unlikely. However, changing how the president is elected could, at best, be a starting point. "Enemies within" is something everybody has, whether at a personal or political level. But one has to start somewhere in order to find ways to improve. Politics is indeed a difficult landscape to navigate and find solutions within. However, the current system, where the presidential candidate is chosen based on decisions made by state-based electors, seems in no way to be truly representative of the entire nation's population. This is not about shutting other people down. If one cannot have discussions with the aim to improve, we might as well have a dictator-based system. There may be topics within a society where the discussion seems to cause more harm than good, but this is not one of those cases. But I thank you for your feedback. Opinions are always welcome as long as they are constructive like yours.

Indeed. Its fascinating and terrifying how small interventions may affect in larger scale, perhaps globally. Take the Great Barrier Reef, which is crucial, not only for the marine life, but for the well-being for our ecosystems. The promoters of seabed mining see, or only want to see, the short-term financial gain. However, we only know a fraction of how this can affect the planet, not only for life on earth, but also economically.
