DIY Camera Sling Pack For Photography - Great For Hiking & Fast!
มุมมอง 8121 วันที่ผ่านมา
I am recycling this old hunting sling pack (HAZARD 4 Pack) Into my hiking camera bag/pack. It is fast and efficient and works well with my film photography loadout, much better than a backpack. Lots of pockets to accommodate lenses, plus a few camera bodies and extras like a drone, filters, etc.! An easy DIY project that turned out great for my photography hikes and adventure needs. Does An Old $50 Lens Still Work Today? Lets Look At An Awesome Vintage Lens & BOKEH🤪!
มุมมอง 298หลายเดือนก่อน
I love messing around with vintage lenses! This one, like many others are well worth the $50 investment 😁👌. I use them for filming TH-cam videos and for photography on digital and film camera bodies. Lets see how these old manual focus lenses do in todays world. In this video I play around with some Chickadee test subjects and the legendary, radioactive 55mm F/2 Super Takumar lens. Using it at ...

Another one of those "50mm is what your eye sees" It's not. Thank you for misinformation
Misinformation, a word made popular by your government 👍 The 35mm equivalent focal length of the human eye is around 43 mm. This is because the human eye's visual attention is about 55 degrees wide, and a 43 mm lens on a 35 mm full frame DSLR has the same viewing angle.
I like takin’ pictures with ugly cameras without ugly Red Dots on the front.
Me too, good fun
I recently broke out my Powershot SD1100is...8mp and started taking some pix. Its got dents and is all scratched up. It's a PnS I got around 2008-2010. Took a lot of pix with it back in the day. I was amazed at the photo quality. It's not my 5D Mark IV, but it still takes great pix. I also still have the Nikon EL-2 35mm film camera and 50mm Nikkor lens I picked up when I was stationed in Okinawa in 1977. I haven't used it in several years but it still gets the job done. Love seeing these old cameras in action.
I routinely see D200 or D300 or D300s paired with the Nikkor AF or AF-S 80-200/2.8 for $250-350. That deal does not exist for any other brand. Canon does not have a cheap native alternative to the 70-200/2.8. It is unique to Nikon. It’s an extremely good way to get into more expensive genres like sports and wildlife. My D200 shoots onto SD cards and is a very capable camera. It’ll get upgraded to a D300s or better when I see a good deal. On the other hand, early Sony mirrorless cameras have depreciated to $0. My Sony NEX-7 is a 24mp 10fps monster of a camera with max ISO 16000 that looks like a toy. That thing can even shoot 3D panoramas.
Watch out with handling wildlife. H5N1 is intense
Stay in your basement. You'll be safe there..👍

I dug out my twenty year old "bought it new" Nikon D200 and my Nikon 17-55 DX f/2.8, bought a fresh set of batteries for $20 and will be putting it through it's paces.
That is awesome! I recently bought one, very nice 👍
I picked up a 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor Nikon D40x for $40 USD and it produces amazing images. Vintage Nikons are a great value for the money.
I agree 💯! The used market for digital slr cameras is at an all-time high 👍
I wonder if you had auto ISO on. Can't recall but I think that camera has a auto ISO problem while in auto modes.
Enjoy those Takumars! The 28mm I have sharper and better color, than a friend's Leica Elmarit.
They are awesome! Looking for more to add to the collection 🤠
Simple lovely photos! My most used Film camera, Mine was bought new 57 years ago! Use it often. Was a pro, news, riots, mayhem, weathers from hot deserts to snow and ice. No Missed focus with crappy autofocus!! Bravo!
Thank you very much! 🍻
No one give sH****** about sharpness and quick autofocus as long as it is dead center accurate autofocus or picture that can tell tale. Look at master of photography 30% of its is slightly mis focus. Look at the megapixel, if u r general consumer, 4-5 mp is enough to make a large print of A4 which is enough for general use! Shame on all latest camera, they are expensive! I am now stick with my first 6d ff which bought from second hand store for 300 dollar.
Just got onto your new page, Jimmy. A question as my son and I do more of the same type of photography...we have a Rebel XTI, any suggestions about a lens for animal photography?
Hi Craig 👋. Maybe start off with a 75 - 300mm zoom. Prices go up fast from there.
I dropped my D610 a couple of weeks ago. Too old to repair i was told. I still have my D80 to turn to. I tend to forget what a capable camera it is. Thank God Nikon lenses are made to be used on DX as well as FX. I have seven, 5 FX, 2 DX. My very first digital camera was a olympus Z4040. 4mp ! I took it to the USA. Great little camera. I still have it, but it drains the batteries after a couple of shots. There a a few things i miss on the D80, Live view for one. I will replace my D610, a D800 is on my radar. That cracked me up, saying the sensor was so dirty it looked like someone took a dump on it !!
Wow! Just jumped over to this new old chanel. Look forward to see all of your magic!
Thanks, my friend ☺️. Happy Friday 🤠🍻🍻
I still use my D2xs bodies, I even still use a D70 I had modified for IR, I also use a Z9 and Z7II for my dailies. Still have a pair of FM's a FTn and a Nikkormat sitting in the closet.
I noticed that in similar D2h, d2x, d100 the skin tone has a greenish-grayish tint, unlike the newer d40, where the white balance is more accurate and the colors are more pronounced and transparent.

I’ve got the same set up. Mines a repaint, with Aki Asahi black lizard skin w 50cron v4. Great video and tips! Thank you.
Thank you! Your camera sounds awesome 👌
Of course, it's the photographer, not the camera. Skill, knowledge and creativity are what take great photos
the only problem with such an old camera is, when bring these files to editing software, not every one will support such an old raw images.
Great video! But I noticed some activities that might be worth rethinking. Things like walking off the path, feeding wildlife, or flying drones can be harmful to the environment and are often not allowed and frowned upon. It's always good to double-check the local rules and be respectful of the environment. It's good to help preserve these beautiful spaces for everyone to enjoy and animals to continue thriving in. Wishing you a Merry Christmas from Ontario!
You know Mike, just like the elk and grizzly bears out here, us humans are from this planet too. I roam, hunt, and play in the Rockies. This is not like Onterrible out here. This is not some grimmy city park jammed packed with people pooping in it. This is 1000s of miles of wilderness in all directions, no cell signal, not a park. We are animals from this planet, and some of us are at home in the woods, unlike most people out there who are totally detached from reality. Your path is a concrete sidewalk. Mine is not.
more proof that its the photographer not the tool
Lovely camera but the owner is a tool.
I was actually going to buy a Canon rebel or a Sony a4000 because they had them for $100. My friend said to just spend the extra money and get something newer and I'll be happier. I bought a Sony a6100 as my very first Real camera and i absolutely LOVE this thing. I don't even know why i spent the money on this phone 😅 i don't even want to take picture with it anymore, i just reach for the Sony.
Ok, mas pq não produziu uma foto equivalente a da thumb? Foi isso que me fez abrir o vídeo...
I did, start at 11:42
why every video with shit cameras feature a nikon? haha
Actually, they are all pretty much the same
If this D2H is Compitable with all the modern F Mount lenses I would be very happy becauss it's hard to maintain mordern days raw file .
Photography TH-camrs who only push new gear are on suicide watch right now 😂
Haha!
I took one of my favorite pics with my mom''s 4mp Nikon.
Wonderful
Thanks 😊
It amazes me the cost of old gear, I love all my nikon gear. The ergonomics of my F5 is dreamy. People can get all the enthusiast cameras all day and attachable battery grips but there is a different feel with the pro line of gear that is amazing.
Top notch equipment that is for sure 👌
It's not about the camera it's the lens and the photographer skills that makes a great photo 😊
Still better than self-proclaimed 'camera' smartphones
Is the 4mp full frame dslr good in low light?
Hi, this is a crop sensor, so not great in low light
It is not the type of camera that gets good pictures, but it is the photographer behind the camera that counts.
I agree! I think most people buy gear because the manufacturer has tricked them into thinking they will be a better photographer with more FPS, lol
Photography was never about the pot but the cook. When you know what you're doing, you're most of the times able to skip over tech limitations. Framing and subject will never be in control of a camera. Period.
What 50 is that exactly?
it's either a fourth Gen or a fifth Gen Summicron 50mm. I'd have to check the serial number again.
Fourth gen, the 5th has no focus tab and a built in hood
Very good!
Thank you!
You made this so easy to understand thank you!
Wow, thank you for the awesome comment. Much appreciated 😊
I used my Nikon D60 few weeks ago. And my new old camera is Sony alpha 900...A-mount. Figure I'll get a new kit when I win the lottery. Could keep using it forever but camera makers stop making batteries and after market ones not as good.
Amazing video, hope ur channel blows up. Reached to my profile page, all the way over to Eastern Europe. Not even on Team Nikon myself.
Thank you for the amazing comment. It is much appreciated 🙏 . Hello from Canada 🍻🍻
Man you're a masterpiece ❤
Wow, thank you very much 👍🍻
4:10 very cute
I don’t shoot film but have to say what a beautiful camera!
It is for sure. And when it's in the hand, It has great heft to it. It's solid brass
The most refreshing photography video I’ve watched in ages!
Wow, thank you! Much appreciated 😊. It seems photography is totally gear related these days. The photo is secondary 😀
the image quality of 4MP on an APS-C size sensor is way better than having many times as much pixels on the same size of sensor ... besides, this camera has a CCD sensor, which offers more DR than today's average-quality CMOS ones ... (but of course CMOS sensors do have some great advantages over CCD ..._ both options are great though, each to their own ... btw, i bought a Nikon D1 for $90 a few years ago ... and it's in perfect working order!; as if never used ... (the package came with a fine Tamron zoom lens, an extra battery, maybe a flash and some other stuff too ... great purchase i'm so happy about ...) 🙂
Man I wish i had that scenery on my back door. Tend to shoot slightly wider as the landscape isnt as vast. Some really nice shots
Thank you, much appreciated 😊. 360 degrees of that. But at the moment, it's -20 ❄️
bought a d200 and d300 for almost the same money. perfect even today for what they are
best 4 mp i've ever seen
What a beautiful landscape. You are a very good photographer. Thank you for your wonderfoul pictures and Video. I use a no longer young Nikon d 700, only with fixed focal lenght lenses. I am very happy with it. The only disadvantage is the heavy weight. The advantage, the camera and lenses are good and cheap compared to new Generation cameras. Greetings from germany.
Thank you very much! Appreciated 😊. The D700 is the perfect camera, I need one! They are awesome. Thanks again, and enjoy your day 🍻
